In a nation with an ever-increasing number of dieters, I'm astonished by how difficult it is to find jerky. Jerky is a product made by trying and marinading meat. Beef jerky is the most common (the previous paragraph should show how loosely I use that term) but jerky can be made with other meats. It is low fat, low sugar and therefore ideal for people who want a snack but are concerned about eating healthily. I'm appalled by the number of ... more

I found this on the edge of a shelf in our local tesco at 99p a packet at first i didnt think it was too bad. However when i opened the packet i was dissappointed as there was just a little meat in the bottom of the packet. It is a form of dried meat, it has a tough chewy texture and is seasoned. It tastes very dry and peppery not like beef at all. The actual packet is intersting as it states how much fresh beef is need to make 100g of beef jerky the fresh amount is a great deal more . I supose this accounts for the cost of the product. I did enjoy it although i guess its only intended as a ... more
