    4 Stars Rock-on Review with images 13/12/2003

Advantages Advantages Based on a great film series, get to play as some fav's

Disadvantages Disadvantages Far too short, inaccuracies

Developers- Rage/MGM Interactive Age-11+ No. of Players- 1-2 Memory Used- 2 blocks Genre-Sports/beat-em-up/movie license Before reading this opinion, if you haven’t seen or even heard or the Rocky saga, then your should probably read the film opinions first, because you may not have a clue what I am talking about. If you haven’t seen the film, then you don’t really need this game, because there are other boxing games that are not based on the films, i.e. Ready2Rumble 2, and Knockout Kings 2003 or even Def Jam Vendetta. This time Rocky wins only to become arrogant and lose to Clubber "Mr T" Lang in the ... more

VGreat game with superb cut scenes which set the mood really well. The best boxing game out on any console however there is not a lot of merit in being defensive and picking your shots, being the aggressor definately pays off.I found this game rolling around in a bargain bin, i took pity, on it, as i had seen all the rocky films and loved them. i got this home and found out it`s the BEST BOXING GAME EVER!!!! From the momment the game powers up it`s filled with thrills and excitement, MY ADVISE: BUY IT NOW, AND YOU WILL SEE WHY EVERY1 LOVES THIS CLASSIC NINTENDO GAMECUBE TITLE. so buy buy buy ... more

Rocky includes several modes of play, including exhibition, movie, sparring, and knockout tournament. The movie mode is the game's main single-player offering, and it starts you out as Rocky Balboa from the first film and allows you to progress through the story line of the entire five-movie franchise. Exhibition mode lets you square off against a computer opponent or a friend in a match that's just for fun. Sparring mode gives you a chance to practice your moves and combinations against a computer-controlled sparring partner. Finally, knockout tournament mode opens up once you've completed ... more
