    Disadvantages Disadvantages Use of some phonetic spellings may be a problem for some.

    ** The Location ** This book is set in Cornwall in the 1780s. Many of the locations in the story are real. Those very familiar with Cornwall can even identify those locations with fictional names. I will attempt to include photos of real Cornish locations that were used in the filming of a TV adaptation of the books, which includes National Trust properties, at the end of the review. (I will use their real names in the captions.)
