I have a Rover 416 Sli (1996 P reg). Personally, I love this car. It has a nice feel to it, and as it's an SLI it's fairly well specified. Alloys, ABS, all-round electric windows, electric sunroof, electric mirrors and a lovely interior. I often see S and T reg versions and at a glance I can't see any difference between mine and the newer versions. I have the automatic version (with the honda engine) and it really is pretty good. Good accelleration ...

...the latest survey, which places Rover second from last. They only just ahead of Alfa Romeo. I am on my third Rover, all have performed very well. Previously, I have had Ford, Vauxhall and Renault and they can't even touch Rover for comfort and reliability. Surely the fact that a car is reliable depends how look after it and how you drive it. I have a "K" Reg 416 SI which was purchased second hand for £1100 18 months ago.I put it in for an MOT This year and was told the cost of repairs (Body(Sub frame rusted),1x Tyre,A indicator showing white,The near and off side front trailing arm bushes would all cost over 300 to get sorted out and yet the car is only worth 200 pounds to sell.I believe the value of repairs is exreemly poor and 1 garage even quoted over 500 pounds for repairs.Call me ...
