The Royal Bank of Scotland do not to my knowledge operate an internet account as such. The main advantage of this is that by operating an account with them via the internet, you also gain all the advantages of being able to use local branches and other services. This is in marked contrast to accounts such as the Co-op's Smile accounts which have had to make seperate arrangements. The draw back in that they do not offer preferential rates etc for ...

I have been a customer with RBS for about 7 years now. And there are both advantages and disadvantages with banking with RBS. ADVANTAGES: TheIr online banking is great and easy to use. Very handy for busy people who want to pay bills etc outside of normal banking hours. You can view statements up to 6months prior to todays date, and download them into Word or Excel docs if you wish. You cal also search for tranascation by type ie cheque, ddm etc ...
