During the summer I was unable to get a job due to the massive unemployment and redundancies were I live, also my gran was diagnosed with cancer and died, this made job hunting a very low priority. I phoned the bank and explained by situation and was told that since I had not used by card or cheques they would not charge me anything (as I was over my overdraft.) ...

I changed from Barclays to the RBOS 4 years ago and the service they have provided me with has been excellent. They have a highline card which you can use that helps to prevent misuse of cards by thieves as it has a picture on the back. The customer service is excellent and they always get back to you when they say they will. I use both the on line and telephone banking that are in place and both help to make my banking much easier.
