Advantages Advantages Delicous bread, easy to prepare and cook

Disadvantages Disadvantages Availability, loses non-stick after a while

I was brought this bread maker as a joint Christmas present a few years back by my parents in law, and I was really chuffed, as it was something I had wanted to try out for ages. The first thing that took me a back was the size of it. Once out of the masses of packaging the actual machine is very large. Unless you have a huge kitchen this is not one you will be able to keep out on the work surface to use whenever you fancy it. In my case it takes up a large chuck of the space and I have to store it in a large cupboard when I'm not using it, as space is a premium in my kitchen. You are looking ... more

Advantages Advantages Perfect bread, ease of use

    Disadvantages Disadvantages too good!

We bought this on ebay for £49, having killed our previous beradmaker (the make of which we can't remember) We have been making all our own bread for about 3 years now. This machine is far superior to our previous model, which I remember cost about £80. It is incredibly simple to use, literally one touch, with all the settings written on the machine itslef so you don't even need to look at the instruction book. The bread it makes is light, crisp and always rises. We have never had a bad loaf. Unlike some machines, it never takes more than 4 hours for a programme, most are just 3 hours, with ... more

Advantages Advantages easy to clean and to operate

    Disadvantages Disadvantages it is big

...is the nicest thing in the morning! We have the Breadman Pro (model 10008) since a couple of months now and since then we haven't bought one bread from a superstore. I find it quite easy to operate with 3 different size of loaf (1lb/1.5lb/2lb) and 3 different crust colours (light, medium and dark). It has 16 different programms and a timer for up to 18 hours. The programms are for different breads (white, whole, french, fruit and nut) including some rapid cycles. One rapid cycle gives you a bread within an hour. There are also cycles for bagel, cake, pizza and jam. Dough only and bake only ... more

Advantages Advantages Fresh bread every day.

Disadvantages Disadvantages The smell makes you eat more.

We were able to buy our Russell Hobbs Pro Breadmaker 10008 on ebay at the great price of £69.99. I have looked else were and wouldn't be able to get much change from £100 so I do feel that I got a good deal. As you can see from the picture it comes in white and no other colour. And is very chunky so it would take up alot of worktop space. So I would only buy this product if you tend to use it alot and have the space to store it. The maximum capacity is 2.0 Ibs. (approx 1kgs) It has a non stick pan. So it is easy to remve the cooked bread and clean. It also comes with a rack so you also do ... more
