Advantages: Looks nice Disadvantages: Doesn't work
...free) when I phoned the Russell Hobbs helpline to see what they had to say for themselves. (their helpline is: 0845 658 9700)
They admit there is a problem with this model and are sending me a new and redesigned filtre which should reach me by the end of the week. So I'll give the bastard thing one more chance. ...

Advantages: small, lightweight and a good price for a bagless Disadvantages: RH have tried to be too clever putting too many filters in!
Bought this from Tesco Direct on Wednesday, it arrived today (Friday) and guess what? It's going back tomorrow!
We were quite pleased with it when we first got it out of the box; it's small, lightweight, seems to have good suction and although it wasn't as good as our dyson it seemed ok. I did the living room first which is a wood floor and there wasn't too much dust to pick up but as soon as I started on the stairs which is carpeted I knew we were ... ...does look clean. It has picked up the dust well, no problems there. The problem is with the filters and the design of the cylinder. It's rubbish!!! Whoever designed obviously hasn't tested it at all because if they had they would realise that you have to phsyically pick out the dirt off the filter with your fingers! It's disgusting. Not only that but if any hair gets into the cylinder (which it will unless you do not have pets and you and all your ...

Advantages: Small and easy to store Disadvantages: Works for about a week then the filters clog and there is no suction
I am having exactly the same problems as everyone else reviewing this cleaner (although thats a joke in itself I am better off getting down on my hands an knees to pick up the dirt from the carpet - it won't even pick a feather off the floor). Like other consumers I was very impressed with the hoover for about a week and then it lost all its suction. I am now having to empty the bin every room I clean - thankfully I only live in a one bedroom flat. ... ...outside of the bin keep getting blocked. Again I bought this hoover because it was the best on offer at Sainsbury's at the time and have regretted that decision ever since. I will definately use review websites like this one to make my next hoover purchase - please don't be fooled cheapest isn't best and a good saving could end up costing you more in the end. Taking advice from another reviewer I phoned the helpline (0845 6589700) and they are sending ...

Advantages: Small, light, compact Disadvantages: No suction, does not do what it is supposed to do, noisy
...the filter is too small and messy to clean.
We will be sending it back, although that will be difficult under the circumstances.
What I can never understand is how a reputable firm such as Russell Hobbs can manufacture and market a product without thoroughly testing it first. ...

Advantages: It's a nice colour, makes a nice garden ornament Disadvantages: Doesn't do what a vacuum cleaner should do
...frustrated that he actually threw the vacuum and it's attachments out into the garden. We have since purchased a nice shiny new Miele which, despite being more than three times the price of the Russell Hobbs, is actually countless times better. It actually does what it is designed to do. ...

Advantages: looks nice, lightweight Disadvantages: does not suck
The most useless cleaner ever ! Don't waste your money - exactly as other users have found this is completely hopeless, the filter gets clogged within minutes of using - I would not even give it away - going to get a dyson as at least they do what they are meant to do - doubt I can get a refund now from Robert Dyas as have used it for a few weeks hoping it will improve or I would find out what I was doing wrong but sadly I just got more and more ...

Advantages: Small and light Disadvantages: No suction
I was pleased with my purchase when I used it for the first time for some very light hoovering However the second time I used it to vucuum up some rice that I had knocked over... it took me ages to try to coerce it to suck any up. And when I switched it off, rice just trickled from the hose into a little pile on the floor. In the end I had to resort to a dust pan and brush.
I bought mine from Sainsburys, and will definitely be taking it back at ...
