I choose it because it looked easy to use and it wasn't too expensive at £19.95 and because the box stated that it cooked "Steams rice, vegetables, fish and sea food whilst retaining maximum flavour" which sounded brilliant and something I couldn't live without. ...one. I only chose the Russell Hobbs Oval steamer because of the Price. I paid £24.99 two years ago. Some others were very pricey, and didn't really do much extra. But you only want it to steam food Right?? When I first started using it, I was unsure as to how long certain foods needed to be left before they were cooked. My father recently purchased this steamer for use at tea times as i have a large family. From the first dy it has made making tea a much easier task as several different vegetables have been able to be cooked simultaneously and not in several pans like before. The different tiersseperate and can be easily stored in or atop a cupboard or even in the original box in which it was purchased. The only problem i have with the product is the cleaning ...
