Sigma EX macro lens - 105 mm F/2.8

The 105mm focal length of this lens means that this lens serves both for telephoto and macro purposes - it deals with both of these well. For macro the lens is able to take pin-sharp photos from as little as around 15cm away, and the low aperture means that a tripod isn't always necessary for moving close-up subjects. This sigma lens is often a favourite starting point for digital SLR users (single lens reflex) looking to upgrade the 'kit' package they bought on impulse in the January sales.
