Now there's a fair chance SWAT will have passed you by (unless of course, you actually own it!); sales-wise it did moderately-well and reviews in the gaming press were of a good-not-great variety, and like so many other games of this ilk, it was soon forgotten. This is ... ...on it at amazon.co.uk.
SWAT: Global Strike Team may lack the ambitious streak of Killzone and the frenetic flair of TimeSplitters 3, but in many respects it quietly matches these FPS heavyweights. Through its own accessible style, nicely-crafted design, smooth graphics and superb longevity, it doesn't need to shout its own praises - it just gets on with the job. The PlayStation2 does have a great tactical first-person shoot 'em up to call its own ...

Advantages: Good sounds, good graphics. Multiplayer. Disadvantages: No real storyline to it. Not many weapons.
...an excellent field technician - SWAT: Global Strike Team Manual The main real gripe with this game is the "story", if it can really be said to have one. Storylines in games are ever becoming more important, and they are generally an important aspect for myself. This game's story is quite lame, some of the missions are tied together and are aiming for ever becoming more important one goal, but most of them are just random hostage situations with other ... ...go in, rescue the hostages, go to the next mission. There isn't much consistency, or real story to it all.
Even so, the game itself is good fun. You have a team of two or sometimes three, and you have to infiltrate a building and try to get the enemies to give up, or if they refuse, you'll have to dispose of them. If the enemies do decide to give up you have a certain amount of time before they take there guns out and start shooting you again. There ...
