Advantages: Durable, nice "ping", excellent value Disadvantages: "Ringing" feedback, not as good as more expensive models
I bought this cymbal about two months ago. This was my first ride cymbal, but I have used other in the past. Upon opening the box, I found that this cymbal has a very nice colour to it. It has deep lathing rings, and evenly spaced indentations. This cymbal, although one of the cheaper from Sabian, has and excellent "ping" to it, and has a warm, balanced sound. So far I have had no durability problems with the B8, as it seems to be a very heavy, solid cymbal. It also retains its colour very well, only needing a quick polish to revive the original colour.
All in all I would recommend this cymbal for any first-time ride cymbal buyers, but not to those who are looking for a top-quality cymbal for band recording or performances. ...
