The Rep arrived on time but immediatley rubbed us up the wrong way. He was over familiar asked personal questions and gave me a sales talk that was so obviously a load a rubbish that I felt that he was insulting my intelligence. He did not show me the product nor did he measure up. When I said that I would not under any circumstances buy on the day he could not wait to get out. He asked me if I still would ... ...had heard the last of Safestyle UK but two days later I had a phone call from the Bradford office asking what I had thought of the windows. When I complained about the Rep and told him that I had not seen a window nor had he measured up the caller seemed genuinley astonished and apologised profusley. He asked if I would be prepared to give them another chance and I reluctantly agreed.

Having used Safestyle some 6 years ago to have our large (11 ft x 8 ft front and 3 ft x 8 ft sides) square bay window and front and back doors replaced, and having had some problems with the door installation back then, we were unsure whether to use them again. However, the 7 windows that we required were getting dangerous and were in danger of falling out so we got some quotes, and decided that the product had improved dramatically ... ...didn’t put us off using Safestyle again. Although it took from 14th March 2004 to 14th July 2004 to get the product fitted, that included problems with getting the credit, due to problems with credit in the past, and unless you have had credit problems in the past, you won’t have the wait we did. They actually aim to fit all orders within a month, and the fitting date we were originally given was 15th April 2004.

Safestyle had been missing me on the phone, then one day they got me. I got the spiel "We think there was a problem with your quote, we have had complaints about the salesman giving too high quotes. Why don't we send a manager round to give you a better quote". I played along and accepted. I liked the quality of the windows and they don't need any money upfront, so I had decided to go for it if he would do it for £3.5k. (Original ... ...my best quote of £3.5k and asked if he would match it. After the obligatory "i have to call my manager" rouse, he agreed. I booked a survey, paid the £60 and they came as agreed (well they were 30 mins late but phoned to apologise & check it was OK). I was given a lead time of about 6 weeks, which was OK for me.

Safestyle UK are a recognised UK window company which is bonded to FENSA and governing body for window and glass companies.
The company has its head office based in Bradford, West Yorkshire and has an endless supply of promotions and advertisement, with various offers such as buy one and get one free, buy downstairs and get upstairs free and also get a massive 55% off.
The decision was a long and painful one, we had many companies round to give ... ...issues were bought up with Safestyle UK who used various small prints to bypass any way of apologising and to return and repair anything.
However, in some way to their defense all of the windows were installed ok and have not had any further issues. But to take up problems with their head office will be a battle. We eventually some payment back as a 'gesture of goodwill' and an agreed date to repair the faulty door.

...had a bad experience with Safestyle uk. I consider in hindsight that I had a lucky escape.
We had decided to get some quotes for new windows and doors etc. In spite of the fact that I detest the madman who does their tv adverts spitting 'ya buy 1 ya get 1 free' etc and I had always promised myself I would not buy from his firm, I asked for a quote.
They rang me the same evening and arranged for the rep to call the next morning. He was very polite ... ...better. The same price as safestyle but with windows we wanted, not picked for cheapness by the rep! We signed with Diamondseal.
I telephoned and notified safestyle of my wish to cancel. They said I could not cancel as I had invited the rep to my house and signed an order. I had no 'cooling off' period.I told them what the rep had said about 7 days to change my mind. They said as he had not written this on the order I had no choice but to go ahead ...

...78, signed a contract with Safestyle on 7 September after they came knocking on the door. She would be paying over £700 for one window measuring about 1000mm x 1300mm. She had just come out of hospital, and new windows were the last thing on her mind - she certainly doesn't have the money for them. So why did she sign up? because, she says, they told her 'the special offer was finishing soon'. Their sales technique must be very persuasive I came ... ...are insisting they will hold her to the deal. Any reputable company would not try this on and it makes me sure that cancelling was the right decision. ...another half hour filling in forms. he had me write out a cheque before he finally left at 10.35!
I spent the next day cancelling cheques, finance agreements, window contract etc.
i would definately not recommend safestyle uk after the episode i had to go through with this rude man. ...

...A real selling point for SafeStyle is that you pay upon satisfactory completion: you don't like the job or the quality you don't pay until the company has remedied the situation. People who moan about poor after sales service should bear this in mind.
All in all I was very pleased at both quality of the installation and the efficiency of the company. Perhaps I've been lucky but these guys are the real deal. ...

I phoned safestyle to make an appointment after watching one of their adverts ( i'm afraid the awful advert worked well on me). The salesman came round a couple of days later and my husband and i agreed that we would not make a commitment on the night no matter how good the salesman was.
He arrived at 6.50pm and left at 11.50pm!! Mind you, we do have 3 children that needed to be fed and put to bed so he had the patience ... ...very well rehearsed and after we had signed...yes, on the night, we sat there wondering how he made us do it.
He started off by saying that they had very competative prices and by paying any less to another company would mean that we wouldn't be getting the quality we would be getting with safestyle.
A couple of times he said to me " you look worried, don't worry , you can afford these windows and i'll show you how" - making it seem like he was ...

My experience with Safestyle was very good, the salesman wasn't pushy and was only about two hours at our house, the two fitting teams started work at 8 am and didn't stop till the job was finished at 4 pm (10 windows+2 doors) the damage to decor was minimal, you can't have a war without casualties, after a couple of weeks we noticed some slight marks between two glazing panels so I contacted customer services, they made two new units and fitted ... ...was years ago, there is a lot of bad feedback on the internet about Safestyle but it appears that it's certain area's that let the company down, our area is covered by the Chester branch and I cannot fault them, I can recommend them to do a very good job. ...

Safestyle recently installed double glazing for my 1970s flat and I would wholeheartedly recommend them to anybody looking to get double glazing. I phoned them up and they arranged for a salesman to see me that night after work. I was expecting the hard sell but he was open and honest, demonstrating the product, showing me how the final price was reached from the guidelines and respecting my request to sleep on it. I spent the next week getting other ... ...Upon deciding upon Safestyle they sent the same salesperson around that evening so I could sign the paperwork. The surveyor was arranged for the next morning and they confirmed my installation date for three weeks time. Everything went smoothly up to the installation date and they rang me on several occasions to check I was satisfied with their service and confirm arrangements. Used safestyle 2yrs ago and was very please with the work and the windows. Got them back october 2007 to do the back of the house and a new front door, and french doors at the back, was very unhappy they had not sealed the garage window, made a complete mess of my drive the road near my neighbours. It looked as f i had employed cowboys to plaster around my french doors, and the front door. When i called the customer service they sent a engineer he ... ...off my neighbours drive or mine. He said he could not do any better with the plastering. I called back the customer service, the said they send another engineer which they did he said it was a mess, and that he would report back to safestyle, photos were taken by first engineer. Advantages: the profiles do look nice, the product is of decent quality. Disadvantages: after sales care - don't exist, unless you are very lucky.
The actual window may be promoted as one of the best in the business but it is no more than a marketing ploy, if you do your home work you will find that the best window they have to offer (diamond range ) does come with a A rating for energy but there is no middle ground as the next window only has a C rating. The service is a shambles, you may be a valued customer only until your windows have been installed, after that you will be very lucky to ...
