Advantages Advantages Keeps baby safe in the bath, not expensive

Disadvantages Disadvantages Doesn't seem very comfy

One of the worst things I find about having a baby is bathing them, I hate it. With our first daughter we began to use one of these from about 5 minths once she learnt how to escape her newborn bath seat, our second daughter didn't work it out quite as fast and we have just moved her into this seat at 7 months. The seats are available in many places, Asda, Tesco, Argos and loads more, Asda are currently selling this seat for £10. The seat comes in a sturdy cardboard box secured with cleaqr tape so unwrapping the item was no problem, inside the box was the seat and a plastic resealable bag ... more

Advantages Advantages Easy to use, takes the worry out of bath-time

Disadvantages Disadvantages Baby will outgrow it!

Maybe it's just me but I used to hate giving my little one a bath. She was really small (4lb 12oz) when she was born as she came early and I was so careful about handling her. Baths initially required two people and I never gave her a bath without my husband's helping hand(s) while we used a baby bath. I used to listen to other people reminiscing about bathing their little ones and I just couldn't understand it. Even when my daughter put on weight and outgrew the small bath, and she became able to sit up alone, I still hated washing her in our normal bath. This is because bath becomes so ... more

Advantages Advantages Sturdy. Comfortable. Good value.

    Disadvantages Disadvantages None.

I was considerng buying one of these for a while as we already had a lying down seat for the bath but my son had started pulling himself up in it and had started getting a little annoyed during bath times as he wanted to be sitting up and looking around (especially as he doesn't venture into the bathroom very often!). However, during a conversaton with my sister she highly recommended the Safety 1st Swivel Bath Seat as she had it when my neice, aged 2 years old, was a baby and found it very useful. Luckily for me I didn't need to spend money on buying one as the one my sister had used for my ... more

Advantages Advantages Good suction pads, well designed, easy to clean, toy rings included on the front

    Disadvantages Disadvantages None to date

I am a big fan of this seat. I got this a couple of months ago for my little boy as he is really not a fan of bath time and someone recommended this product to me saying "he might be more comfortable and be able to play". I was honestly at the point where i would try anything, my daughter was always very easy at bath time you'd hold her in wash her she'd play and that would be that, but my son would scream every time he even touched the water. The big test! So the day I bought this item was bath night! I was very impressed with the design of the product the suction pads at the bottom are very ... more

    Advantages Advantages easy to clean

Disadvantages Disadvantages cheap look, not easy to get a larger baby, slippy seat

This bath seat has been very beneficia and well used by our familyl as it has been used by three of my children. I purchased this brand new at a good price but if I were to buy another it would not be this one. I find it was not ideally as comfortable as I would have liked & a young child who is just able to sit unaided was easily able to slide forwards. It looked cheap and they toy bar on the front of the seat were not very exciting so really they were no good for anything. Also I found as the child grew a little large it became rather difficult to remove them from the chair without hurting ... more

    Advantages Advantages None

Disadvantages Disadvantages Not safe, Uncomfortable, Bad design

I think i got this bath seat from Tescos for about £12. My little one had started sitting up and rather than get in with him to bath him on my own or bend over while he was in a little bouncy seat and hurt my back i thought this would be perfect! How wrong i was! The seat is a plastic frame work on a swivel base with suction pads to secure it to the bottom of the bath. For a start the shape of it meant that my son slipped forwards a bit and -although he was in the weight/size bracket for using this - was very difficult to get him out of it again! The hard plastic dug into his back and left red ... more
