Now I thought I would try my hand at some thing a little different to what I would normally review. I’m not much of a cook, that’s more Stephs department, but because we both work full time, and work horrid hours I do try to do my bit. Whilst out shopping the other day, on one of our rare days off together, we decided to pop into Sainsbury’s, just to pick up a few bits, as you do, and Steph turned to me and said “We haven’t got anything out the freezer for dinner tonight!” So we went through the usual of what do you fancy, and neither of us could decide, so it was just a case of walking round ... more

    Advantages Advantages DELICIOUS

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Little bit sloppy

With me always being in a rush, and never staying at home for more that one hour in one go, I tend to find that I never have time to cook myself a proper meal. I have a brother that goes to Uni, and my Mum often buys ready meals for him, and so when he comes back at the weekend, along comes his food. In a rush to go out one day, I nicked one of his ready meals: a Sainsbury's Cottage Pie. There are many advantages to this product: (1) The packaging is bright and colourful(eyecatching) (2) The price is low (3) The quality is excellent (4) The cooking instructions are very clear and concise (5) ... more

    Advantages Advantages quick and easy

Disadvantages Disadvantages not sure about the nutritional value

I'm not too sure how I am going to be able to find 120 words to describe Sainsburys cottage pie, specailly being failry new to this but I can only have a go. I buy a range of Sainsburys ready meals for my daughter to take to work. That way i know she will at least be eating something a bit better than sweets all day. She does not have a very adventurous appetite, or even much of an appetite at all. These meals come in a varied range of menus, from cottage pie to fishermands pie. to tomato and cheese spagetti, all of which I know Amy will eat. The boxes are brightly coloured, costing 99p for ... more

    Advantages Advantages Quick and easy

Disadvantages Disadvantages A little bit messy

I purchased one of these pies a few weeks ago. I come home from College and never really have time to cook a big meal because im straight off to work. It doesn't take long to heat up, and when its ready it smells fantastic. I have a passion for food, and this was very tasty. It almost reminds me of my Grandmothers cottage pie, sitting there on a Sunday afternoon like we use to, enjoying cottage pie. This is a great buy for a ready meal and i would certainly recommend it to you. The only problem i found is that it was a little sloppy and messy. But i diddnt complain about this. There is always ... more
