Advantages Advantages Fantastically versatile, tasty, good value

Disadvantages Disadvantages Although it is 50% fat free, it is still 15% fat

It is a sad fact that far too many reduced fat products also seem to be “taste reduced” – thankfully Sainsbury’s Be Good To Yourself 50% less fat Crème is not one of these! Advantages Advantages Tastes Fab

I love the taste of it, tangy and creamy, and it's so smooth to eat. I use it ... more

Advantages Advantages Can be used for both savoury and sweet dishes

Disadvantages Disadvantages You end up eating loads of it

This half fat creme fraiche is one that I use quite often as it seems to taste just as good as the full fat one. I feel I am being much healthier aswell but tend use lots of it! Just stir it into a sauce near the end of cooking - it can be anything from a pasta sauce to a curry. Not much is needed and it gives a sauce a lovely smooth texture. Creme fraiche is also great on desserts. One of my favorites is adding it onto tinned peaches soaked in brandy then topping it with some brown sugar which then ... more
