Appliance was delivered on time, and the washing machine is excellent. Had major problems when it came to Sainsburys worry free policy (I can assure you it isn't). 3 months, and 6 phone calls later and I have still not been able to set the policy up. Sainsburys assure me it has been, only to find it hasn't. The actual insurers (Domestic and General), claim to not know of such a policy! Advantages - delivery as promised and washing machine great Disadvantages - keep away from the worry free policy as it will only cause you strife.

I would highly recommend to anyone buying from sainsburys kitchen appliances online shop. I had A* service from the polite sales department right through to the delivery time slot and the wonderfull delivery team. Everyone was so helpfull and went out of their way to help me receive my Hotpoint WD865A Washing machine. I can't praise everyone enough for the fantastic service. Utterly lamentable is all I can say... My dishwasher lay unopened in a spare room while my new kitchen was fitted. On removing all the packaging, I found the front all caved in, the operating buttons damaged beyond repair, and a large dent down the side of the appliance. Sainsburys refused to replace it as one of my builders had signed for it. Apparently, every single one of the five appliances I'd bought through them should have been unpacked - while their driver waited - to check for damage! They offered me 40% of the value back, then charged me £50 for coming to collect it... that's £240 down the drain on an appliance I never used!

Absolute dismal,i am a great sainsbury fan but after this experience i wont buy another thing on line from them,was given time slot of between 8a/m & 1p/m they arrived at 3.30 p/m took out old appliance (which was working) left in rain unloaded new fridge/freezer to find massive dent in it,now left with no apppliance as old one damaged by water,next delivery will be in a weeks time,customer service atitude was that it is not their fault,Sainbury's get stuffed.

Advantages: Simple to use website, competitive prices
Disadvantages: Poor customer service. Cannot trust Sainsbury's brand as ordered fulfilled by 3rd party - DRL Ltd

...on 3 Aug 07 from Sainsburys Kitchen Appliances. Delivery date shown online was 8 Aug, but the item was delivered by DRL Limited (who operate the kitchen appliance service on behalf of Sainsbury's Kitchen Appliances, Boots and B&Q) on 14 August 07. The item was unpacked by delivery men and slotted into the kitchen space without giving me change to inspect it. An appaling service, its now 14 weeks since they took my money and i still have not received my appliance, after many failed promises and confirmed delivery dates which did not happen. The girls on the helpdesk are very pleasant but i think that they are feeling just as helpless a their customers. I would consider this purchase the worst decision i have made in a long time and wouldn't recommend them to my worst enemy.

I tried to speak to the sales advisor for more than 5 minutes about my appliances and he just wasn't interested. So much for Sainsburys service!

Advantages: None that I can see
Disadvantages: They lied about stock after and before taking my money

...they took my money. Called Sainsburys to complain and they said it's not even them!! It's a company called DRL in Bolton. I thought I was ordering through Sainsburys and this has put me off them now as you can't expect 'Sainsburys' service.
