Advantages Advantages Clumps well to eliminate odour, pleasant smell, good value

Disadvantages Disadvantages Can leave marks on carpets

I have two cats, and even though they are different ages and not from the same litter, neither of them has ever been very much inclined to use a litter tray. They both prefer to go outside, and very rarely use the tray. Even so, I do not let either of them out at night, so always have a litter tray available should either of them need to use it. Over the years I have tried various cat litter products, and it was about eighteen months ago that I purchased the Sainsbury's Ultra Clumping product. It is available in a no-frills paper-based bag, which it strong and durable enough to contain the ... more

Advantages Advantages Easy to use, works well, clumps well, retains moisture and locks in smell well.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Expensive per litre compared to other litters.

We have a cat who is a house cat and as such she has access to a couple of 'toilets' in our home. We like to do our best to make sure that our cat has a home that smells clean and is hygienic for her, particularly as she has one toilet that is a hooded one and therefore locks some of the smell in.Sainsburys Ultra Clumping Cat Litter is one litter that we have tried recently. We have tried a few more of the premium or more expensive ones in our quest to find the best cat litter for our home and our cat. This litter is just over £4.00 at present for a 5 litre bag. It comes in a pretty standard ... more

Advantages Advantages forms hard balls, easy to scoop, no smells

Disadvantages Disadvantages Not the cheapest out there

Sainsbury's Ultra Clumping Cat Litter I have one cat that's a little bit older than one year and I love him to dead. Since I'm living in an apartment with no option for him to go out it really has some consequences. First of all I have to buy him a lot of toys to keep him entertained and lots of attention and can't really leave him alone for long. But it also means that he can't go outside for something else and that means you better get some good cat litter to keep things clean and smell free. I have tried some different kind of cat litter and there's a big difference and it doesn't always ... more

Advantages Advantages cheap and good stuff

    Disadvantages Disadvantages nothing

We have been searching around lately for some decent cat litter. The one we bought the other month was a real let down and a disappointment and it was not absorbent not did it clump and it was also very dusty. We decided to give Sainsbury's Ultra Clumping Cat Litter a try because it was on offer and we had not tried it before. It cost just £1.89 which we thought was very reasonable. It came in an large strudy paper bag with good carrying handles on the top (unlike the other one we bougt from Tesco). It was difficult to open and this had to be done with the aid of strong pair of large scissors ... more

Advantages Advantages absorbs great, leaves litter box looking and smelling clean

Disadvantages Disadvantages doesnt completely get rid of smell

I get through a heck of a lot of cat litter. Having more than one cat seems to mean I am always cleaning out their litter trays. Having tried many brands of cat litter over the last few years, I have only now began to get a better idea as to what my cats like, what is good price, and what is the best value. The product I am reviewing today is Sainsbury’s clumping cat litter. Like most litters out there this one doesn’t really have a scent to it, it is great/white in colour, and it is pretty good value, at a cost of only £1.89 per bag. Quantity wise, the bag you get is usually just over ¾ full ... more
