    Normally I am very particular about how my nails look; taking care over them every week but recently I haven’t had time and have also had a poor diet which doesn’t help. The combination of these two things left my nails in a terrible condition. I noticed that my nails were beginning to peel off horizontally because they were quite weak. I hate my nails not looking their best so I decided it was time to take action.     I bought two bottles of Sally Hansen Diamond Strength instant nail hardener in an offer from Boots. I was going to buy a bottle of Sally Hansen Hard as Nails because my nails have been really weak lately and I've had great success with it in the past. But I saw this "better" version complete with shiney bottle and bits of real diamond on offer at 12 pounds for 2 bottles and decided to "upgrade". Normally this product retails at 7.95 per 13ml bottle as opposed to the 5.95 you'd pay for a bottle of Hard as Nails. "Soft, fragile nails?     Disadvantages Disadvantages in everyday life/work doesnt work quite so well!

    My nails on my left hand do actually grow quite long, whereas nails on the other hand, split and break regularly. However nails on both hands are weak and split. In my job I am quite hands on - making coffee, clearing tables, operating the dishwasher for at least an hour a day, the rest of the day I am doing paperwork and on the computer. When I am in the coffee shop not even for an hour I usually come out with a broken nail or a snag in one of my longer nails no matter how careful I am.     A review for the girls I suppose - unless you blokes out there like painting your nails too............................ I used to bite my nails really badly as a child and they are now very weak and snap easily. They also catch on things and bend back over which is VERY painful!! I wish I had listened to my grandad when he told me to stop biting them! But I stopped biting them several years ago and I now take a real pride in my nails as when they are long and painted they look lovely, never mind how impractical they are for washing dishes!     Almost overnight, from the day I left London to live on the West Dorset coast, my fingernails stopped flaking and splitting and grew to a manageable attractive length. I put this down to the iodine in the atmosphere and perhaps even the water as we are surrounded by seaweed. Not such a daft idea as there is an element of iodine in many nail strengthening products.     My nails have a real tendency to peel, crack and break. I never wear nail varnish as they usually look so naff after my attempt of painting them, clear nail varnish is usually all I can manage, and luckily diamond strength is a clear nail varnish and goes on lovely to give your nails a nice shine. Diamond Strength is packaged in a shiny, diamond like box, inside this box is a silver bottle with a silver lid, and she calls it a premium nail hardener.     I first came across Sally Hansen Diamond Strength after a friend recommended it to me. I have never in my life had long nails...not for lack of trying i can tell ya! My nails have always been really weak, splitting or breaking at any given opportunity. I really didn't think that the condition of my nails could get any worse until I discovered acrylic nail tips at my local nail bar...Hurrah I thought, until they told me how much they would cost and how often I would need to get them maintained (all at an additional cost).     I first used this product around 4 weeks ago as my nails were desperately needing some TLC. After trying several nail care products over the years which promised to keep my nails strong but failed dismally, I thought I'd fork out the £8-95 and give this one a bash. My nails were really short (I must confess.....I can be a bit of a nail biter at times!!) so I was really starting from scratch.     Advantages Advantages Its a miracle cure for splitting, breaking, pealing, weakness and even helps speed up growth.

    Disadvantages Disadvantages It doesn't come cheap.

    I have been a really bad nail biter lately. Especially over the last few years and my nails looked like rubbish. And they are very short and scruffy. When I heard about this product, I thought it couldn't possably be as good as they said. But even if it wasn't 100%, I still needed a good nail hardener to repair the damage I had done biting my nails. I saw this in boots one day and it was a amazing £8.99.     My nails are terrible, they are weak,they chip they split and they peel. I have tried so many nail strengthening products before, but I always seem to go back to the Sally Hansen range. I used this prouct on its own, it can be used as a base coat or top coat aswell. It went on very smoothly and it dried quite quickly too, which is good as I can't stand gooey nail varnish that takes forever to dry (I am far too impatient!).
