Advantages Advantages A very tasty fish finger made from 100% Wild Pink Salmon Fillet !!!

Disadvantages Disadvantages ... but the fish fingers themselves are 42% breadcrumbs and water !!!

Introduction We first bought Birdseye Salmon Fish Fingers a couple of months ago. It wasn’t a product that we had seen advertised and they weren’t on our shopping list either. They were simply something we “discovered” whilst looking for something tasty for our baby boy whilst shopping at Asda. He doesn’t really seem to like eating meat but enjoys fish … so when we saw 10 Birdseye Salmon Fish Fingers were only £2.50 we bought a box for him to try. The good news was that he loved them and we have since bought them on a regular basis and have also tried them ourselves. Birdseye Salmon Fish ... more

BIRDS EYE SALMON FISH FINGERS Go on, you know that you've all seen it and all laughed at it!! The sexy fish finger!! A fish finger slinks towards two others and introduces 'herself' in a sultry voice as the new salmon fish finger. One of the others asks if that means she is all pink underneath. Does she blush like a real lady, oh no, not this little hussy. She unzips her gorgeous coat of breadcrumbs to reveal a hot pink, naked body, while giggling and possibly drinking Lambrini (it's hard to tell)! The two cod fish fingers (I've a feeling that they are fish finger builders with their attitude ... more

Advantages Advantages Very tasty, great new product!

Disadvantages Disadvantages The Iceland version are £1.50 cheaper and just as delicious!!!

Birdseye Salmon Fish Fingers I actually started buying salmon fish fingers when I saw them in Iceland, they were actually the Iceland own brand, and were £1 for 10 fish fingers. I’m not really a fish finger/chicken nuggets person, and I am one of those who will feed kids what I eat minus the extra salt, and if they don’t like it then tough, they’ll get it for breakfast the next morning, then lunch, then dinner again until it’s gone. But as I don’t have kids of my own, and I have a husband who works nights, sometimes it’s easier to stick some fish fingers in the oven for 20 minutes than make a ... more

Advantages Advantages Very delicious, great appearance, easy to prepare

Disadvantages Disadvantages very processed and refined, a little expensive

I'm not and never will be one of those people that purchase a lot of ready made and boxed foods. Although it seems the easier option when your too busy to cook a proper, healthy dinner, i always choose to ignore, easy microwavable meals. I suppose the shock horror stories and television documentaries that show these packet foods and what disgusting extra's they add doesn't exactly help or persuade me to purchase. But although I've never been a consumer of birds eye products, as i think their foods always look very processed and refined, the box of salmon fish fingers really caught my eye. I ... more

Advantages Advantages Oily fish is good for you

Disadvantages Disadvantages Crumb is overly dry

Fish Fingers have come of age with a new offering from the Birds Eye stable - salmon fish fingers. I should state that I'm not a fan of convenience foods and fish fingers are particularly easy to make but, with a toddler, it's useful to have something tucked in the freezer for a quick lunch or tea. Salmon, as an oily fish, is a great meal for children (and adults) and so these fish fingers appealed more than the regular cod (or more commonly, Pollock) offerings. The fish fingers are sized no differently to "regular" fish fingers although a review of the ingredients shows that they are only 58% ... more

Ah, fish fingers, where would we be without them? Down at the local chippy probably. Fish fingers are great though, aren't they? Generations of kids have grown up wolfing down these delicacies, gorging on low fat protein and omega 3 - eating healthy(ish) food without even realising it. and the great thing is they're totally sustainable - I mean, when did you last see a fish using fingers? But now Birds Eye Fish Fingers have grown up with the arrival of pink salmon fish fingers. Salmon is brilliant. Tasty, healthy and a nice colour. I love it. So without a second thought or a backward glance ... more

After reading several positive reviews about the new Birds Eye Salmon fish fingers I decided to try them for myself. Birds Eye have clearly been listening to research that shows that children’s tastes are becoming more sophisticated and decided to make the popular fish finger more upmarket. The fish fingers come in an attractive eye catching box. The picture on the front shows the pink salmon contained inside a golden coloured fish finger. Each box contains 10 salmon fish fingers. I paid £2 from my local Tesco but the recommended retail price is around £2.60. The information on the outside of ... more

Advantages Advantages Good quality fish, no bones, no grey bits

Disadvantages Disadvantages A little too dry, strongly flavoured, expensive

I eat a lot more fish than I do meat, and am ever on the lookout for new and tasty products that I can feast on. Salmon isn't my favourite fish by any means, as I find the flavour of it a little too pungent, but as a new-ish product, Birds Eye Salmon Fish Fingers caught my eye in Sainsbury's deep freeze the other day - naturally a pack sort of jumped into my trolley! The pack is of very similar design to Birds Eye Cod Fish Fingers, except that the predominant colour is a salmon pink. The back of the box shows nutritional information, ingredients, dietary/allergy advice, storage/cooking ... more

    Advantages Advantages -

    Disadvantages Disadvantages -

I love fish fingers, but I'm pretty fussy about what I eat, and whilst with many products I'm happy to just go with the cheapest brand available, fish fingers for me are always Birdseye. Most cheap fish fingers tend to be made from the mysterious 'Minced White Fish' which has the texture of mashed up cardboard and tastes like licking a sweaty armpit. You're probably thinking I'm exaggerating there, after all, nobody makes a habit of licking armpits . Well, I did once while a little under the influence - and it was much nicer than a cheap fish finger! Okay, so now we know why I fixate on ... more

It had been years since I'd had a fish finger so when I saw Salmon one's advertised for £2.00 in ASDA I just had to give them a go. Well strictly speaking the rather amusing advert had previously brought them to my attention but I didn't give them much thought till I saw I was getting 10 for £2.00.....................20p each they must be pretty poor for that price. Well no they are surprisingly good and an excellent little dish. They look and feel exactly the same as an ordinary fish finger being that they are a fingers length just over an inch wide. Height wise they are more than a quarter ... more
