Advantages Advantages Easy to use - Great price - Compact design..!

Disadvantages Disadvantages The battery is a bit fiddly..

I had been wanting to update my set of kitchen scales with a more modern version for quite some time but never seemed to get around to it. I had already decided that I was going to electronic scales in the hope that they would be easier and more convenient to use than the more traditional 'pointer' scales, and had half-heartedly had a look around online at a few options, but never made any firm decisions, other than deciding that my new purchase would come from the well-known "Salter" brand. I had heard many good reports about this brand and had many positive reports about the brand online. By ... more

Advantages Advantages They look good and are accurate

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Are quite flimsy

Weigh it up I needed some electronic scales because I had some cheapo traditional mechanical ones that I think were from the pound shop and I found them difficult to set to zero and they weren’t as precise as I would have liked. Advantages Advantages nice design, weigh very accurately

Disadvantages Disadvantages battery life not the longest

I had looked around and Salter are always one of the best brands for this kind of thing and so this is why I went for this Arc model. I liked the look of these and although on Amazon, these were really slated with terrible reviews it didn't put me off as I like to give things a try and make up my own mind. Also, these were on sale at a really reasonable price which made me even more ready to buy these. APPEARANCE These are a black plastic scale and on the front is the Salter ... more

    Advantages Advantages great accurate weight

    Disadvantages Disadvantages terrible awkward battery

I had broken the old kitchen scales as I dropped them and unfortunately when they fell I broke the dial so after them working well for many years I had to invest in a new set. Then I decided to do some cooking one morning and I completely forgot that they were broken, so when I picked up the cooking ingredients from Sainsbury’s I also had to purchase a new set of scales. Unfortunately they did not have a wide selection they had one set, so I didn’t really have a choice. The Salter black electronic scales were £12.99, it was a little more than I wanted to pay, but as they were electronic I ... more
