After Umming and Arghing (if there is such a thing!) for months about purchasing a DVD player and moving up the ranks of Audio/Visual technology I decided to punish myself and wait for Christmas. The Samsung DVD-224 will not only play your DVD's & SVCD but it will also play KVCD & SKVCD, and not too many players on the market do that! So you may be asking who cares if it plays KVCD's? More and more people are now producing thier own KVCD's. KVCD is a full movie on a single compact disc. And a single compact disc cost around 10 pence to buy. The Samsung DVD-224 performs many other functions such as playing DVD's & VCD’s, CD’s and will also allow you to view JPEG images as well on your TV screen. but it will also play KVCD & SKVCD, and not too many players on the market do that! Its great that it plays VCD’s because if you have a CD burner on your PC and video / movie files you have can be put on a CD and played on your TV.
