Advantages: Highly durable machine
Disadvantages: None, it even survives long drops

I recently purchased the Samsung DVD-R128. I had simple requirements, it needed to be cheap (this was a secondary recorder), it needed to be of a certain size (due to the space it was to fill in a piece of furniture), and most importantly it needed to record in the - format.
