Samsung are a name that I have known for a long time but it did not easily drop into photography in my mind. What I can say is that the quality they show in other areas is mirrored in this product. It really is a good piece of kit. Main Features:
4 Mega pixel - This is more than enough for people who 'snap'. Any more than this and you are getting into the pro's world. The pictures come out well and there is no visable pixellation.

Zoom: Both Optical and Digital. Be sensible though. It is not an SLR so don't go thinking you'll be able to zoom for miles.
Comp link - Plug into a usb port and any PC with XP will see that it is a storage device and you don't even need to install the software if you don't want to!
Bad points : Battery life - Not brilliant. You can get rechargeable ones but that obviously increases the cost.

However, for taking basic pictures this is a great camera and a decent size. It is not too small that you can lose it and not big like the others which have larger viewscreens.
Overall it is well worth the money that samsung charge for it. ...
