    Advantages Advantages best camera for its price!!!

    I brought this camera last year ready for holiday and it has been immense since day one! I wanted something that had a lot of features but didnt need to be top of the range - then I came across the gem - I paid £65 for it (still sell for that price on Amazon I believe) I was expecting something that was complicated or tempormental and to my surprise it incredible! With 5.1 mega pixel it offers a good quality size of picture and the resolution is very clear - infact I have taken quite a lot of pictures on the 1 mega pixel mode as it saves memory and these still come up amazing!     Advantages Advantages big screen, durability, videos with sound

    Disadvantages Disadvantages no sound while zooming, not so vivid colors

    Samsung S500 I bought this camera 2 or 3 years ago. I have been using it many times, and it has never let me down. It's a good camera for general use, but don't expect extraordinary things from it. An advantage is that you are able to do videos with sound , but a big disadvantage that I discovered is that when you make a video the sound stops while you are zooming. It is good to know, because I didn't knew at first, and so I had lost a great video that I made with my friends. I kind of lost some great memories.     If you're not looking for a high-tech camera, all you want is something that takes alright pictures and is simple to use, this camera is for you. The overall design of this camera is lovely, it's got a great shape to it, and doesn't embarrass you if you take it out. The LCD screen is large enough, to see what pictures you have taken. I've had this camera for just under a year now and we've had to exchange it twice, because it was eating up batteries like I don't know what.     I've had this camera for about 9 months and can't fault it. One of the best things about this camera is the large display screen which lets you see the photo you've just taken really well. You can also zoom in again to see the photo in even greater detail. I've had a few digital cameras, and used other people's and I've never known a camera to take such good photos everytime. I've never know this camera to blur - even when I've taken photos of people dancing, or when I haven't been holding the camera particulary still.     I have owned my Samsung Digimax S500 for a couple of months now (I won it in a local paper photographic competition!) and have found it easy to use and find my way around the features. I am a very very amateur who likes to just point and shoot without having the bother of setting focus etc and this camera meets my needs. I'm not sure if I will ever find a use for the frames you can add to your pictures but this feature provided some amusment while playing around with the camera for the first time. I do like the zoom (zoom 5.8 - 17.4mm) and even found that using the digital zoom gave better ... more

    I have the Samsung Digimax S500 for 3 years now it is a very good product. Why well the digimax is Equipped with a true-colour filtered 5.1 megapixel CCD. Very true color pics it is able to shot in Black and white as well as other colors it is a easy to use point and shot camera it is very durable it has easy access buttons. It can record Audio as well as clear video there are just so many features. Really easy computer camera connect plus east print options.     I GOT THIS CAMERA GIVEN TO ME FREE WHEN I DID A PHOTOGRAPHY COURSE AND NOW I DONT KNOW WHERE ID BE WITHOUT IT..     This camera is great for those who arnt realy up to date with their camera technology, because of the ease of use, and the briliant clearness of the pcitures it takes. But this camera is not jus ace at taking high quality pictures, it also takes some of the best quality video footage, i have ever seen from a digital camera!     Disadvantages Disadvantages You cannot increase the megapixels without incresing the size

    this is generally a great camera because it is very user friendly and s basically very hi tech as well. Taking photos with this camera is heavenly because i remember it was ney years eve ans we were in the club and i was taking photos of me and my friends while jumping in the air and it still took very awesome pictures. All in all it has served me great and the editing software that comes with it is just awesome.     Advantages Advantages fairly basic and easy to use - mode button fairly self explanatory - good value

    Disadvantages Disadvantages even camera batteries do not last long - maybe because too much data stored

    in my opinion it is a good little camera, good pixel but not amazing. mode button easy to change but sometimes slips round too easy by accident and you dont realise its moved until you view the pic.I found it to be not a bad weight but heavier than alot of new ones. good price, so good value for money. good sized screen and easy to understand and use. i have found that even high power batteries are being drained more quickly each time, however this could be how much data I stored on memory card perhaps? i will try and find out. I couldnt find troubleshooting in manual which was a shame, also ... more
