    Advantages Advantages Large Screen

    Disadvantages Disadvantages A bit Ugly

Enjoying a relaxing lunch, sitting outside in the warm October sun with my little 3-month old daughter, I'm about to show a friend some snaps of the baby. I reach for my handbag for my digital camera and suddenly go cold. My bag's not there. Frantically, I cast my eyes about, looking in unlikely places. Perhaps I absent-mindedly shoved it in the nappy sack (post-natal hormones may be used as an excuse for the whole gamut of eccentricities); perhaps I left it at home. But no, of course, it's been half-inched. What did I lose? Wallet, money, mobile of two weeks :o(, house keys, business keys ... more

Advantages Advantages Pocket size, light in weight, simple to use. Pause button when recording movie files

Disadvantages Disadvantages LCD screen is difficult to see in sunlight - but then this is usually the case on other cameras

I have used my Samsung S600 camera for a couple of years now and have been very happy with its performance and the results. I tend to leave it set on Auto most of the time, so it's ready to use anytime for anything. It has a very quick start up, so you won't miss photo opportunities. When I want to be more creative, I use the other modes and functions, of which there are plenty for any keen amateur photographer like myself. I'm personally not interested in all the new technology and features you'd probably hardly every use on other more expensive cameras available on the market. I'm happy to ... more

Advantages Advantages Large LCD, easy to use, good value for money

Disadvantages Disadvantages Short battery life, the mode selector is plausible to change during transport

I was intending to buy a camera but haven't searched for a particular one to buy. Despite this, when I've been to Manchester last year I have found this Samsung S600 offered at the price of 67pounds. I decided on the moment to buy it and don't regret it. The first thing you have to do is buy a memory card as the internal memory is definitely not enough. This camera uses SD or MMC cards which are basically the cheapest in the market. I suggest you to buy a card with a storage capacity of minimum 1GB as at best quality you pictures will be up to 4MB each. The optical 6 megapixel sensor is CCD ... more

Advantages Advantages Easy to use, just point and shoot, good quality photos, low price

Disadvantages Disadvantages Not much internal memory, uses lots of batteries

I bought this camera when my baby was born, as i needed a good quality but cheap camera to take lots of photos with. I paid 89.99 without any extras but i also bought myself a memory card as you really do need this if you want to take photos on the best quality setting. The camera is very easy to use. Standard on and off button on top and click button on top right to take a picture. There are different settings for you to take photos on, like when you are outside/night/children. There is also an option to take short videos, but this takes up a lot of memory quickly. I usually just use the auto ... more

Advantages Advantages Large LCD, Good Clear Image. Easy to use, Nice Look,

    Disadvantages Disadvantages None so Far

I bought this Camera in PC world on special offer during the christmas period. When i opened the box I was greeted with a smart, silver, compact digital Camera. The Controls are easy to use or if you prefer to set it up manually with focal lengths etc there's also that option (Although I'm no Photographer so I have no idea how to use Manual mode), I've never used the advanced mode properly and have acheived great pictures(auto mode is great!). The frames that you can apply to the pictures is a great idea, you can use frames for example of the MGM lion logo then take a picture so its you as the ... more

Advantages Advantages Lightweight, easy to use with excellent features.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Sometimes takes a while to load images and does not have much internal memory.

This stylish digital camera was bought for me as a christmas present as I am greatly interested in amateur photgraphy. I was very impressed by it's design and excellent quality. After trying out the camera I also discovered the amazing picture quality of 6 megapixels and was happily snapping away many professional quality pictures. However after taking 12 pictures I realised that the camera had very limited internal memory so i had to spend extra on a memory card so I could take more pictures in one go. Despite this small disappointment I carried on browsing through the camera's features and ... more

Advantages Advantages Good quality pictures, very easy to operate

Disadvantages Disadvantages Only disadvantage I have discovered so far is that very occasionally nothing happens when you take a picture.

This is a very nice looking camera. I also found it very easy to use. The instruction manual was easy to understand. I have not used a great range of digital cameras but was able to understand and use its features very easily. Its also very durable, my partner has already accidentally drop tested it on a concrete floor! It didn't get damaged at all. Features include: Scene mode which uses optimal settings for a variety of shooting situations (landscape, closeup, sunset, dawn, backlight, firework beach & snow). Movie mode allows you to record a movie clip for as long as the memory capability ... more

Advantages Advantages Clear Pictures, Fun Effects and Impressive Design.

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Fiddly Settings.

The Samsung Digimax S600 is a affordable, Easy to use and Tightly packed Camera. I bought mine last Christmas for £129, But it came with a 1GB SD card, a charger + rechargeable batteries and a protective bag. My dad bought another brand camera 2 years earlier and I have a much better camera for 1/3 of the price. The Pictures are so clear on the 2.4" screen, The Dictaphone function gives clear recording and The video function is very clear. After you have takena picture, you can add a voice message or zoom in to pick up a certain part of a picture. If you are looking for a high quality, but ... more

    Advantages Advantages Small, Fashionable, Compact

Disadvantages Disadvantages Cannot find option to disable flash mode

The Samsung S600 is a good looking camera, It is compact and has a good sized LCD screen. The only problem I am having with it, is I dont seem to be able to find the option to diasable the flash mode. I have taken pictures when it has been very light and still the flash goes off whn I take a picture and distorts the image (i.e: cats eyes seem to glow really bright.) Overall this caera is good quality, but I think the options should be a little bit more simple to figure out. The edititing software is of reasonable standard, but that again does not have the option to sort out the cats eyes ... more
