Advantages: Loads of functions Disadvantages: Setup takes a bit
Since i have had mine i found that i was driving my family crazy with me taking photos all of the time. I mean it is so user friendly that my son of 4 years old can use it. But don't think for 1 min that if a child of 4 years old can use it it must be rubbish or i can't take good photos because let me tell you its far from rubbish and it is brill for the quality of photo that it takes. Well lets put it this way i have saved aloto of money in devoloping ... ...the proper paper you to can print out top quality photos and save on the charges yourself. I could not even think of going back to the old that i had.

Set a timer on it up to 10 secs
Take photos in dark as good as in light

Advantages: Excellent quality offers something for all levels of expertise Disadvantages: memory card fits in same chamber as battery (niggle)
This camera has something to offer most people. It has several modes of operation which will help the novice yet still leave the "expert" scope to be creative.
The modes are accessed through a dial which has click stop positioning The modes are:- Easy, Program, A/S/M, Video, Sound, myset, night mode.
Funnily enough I found the easy mode the most difficult of all to live with perhaps because I like to feel I am participating in the photo shoot easy ... ...produces good quality images in many different light situations, further control is offered through quality of picture the settings here are accessed through a menu system via the viewing screen The settings are:- normal, fine, Sfine, Tiff. you can also control the metering which is spot or multi.. Different Sizes of picture are:- 644x408 1120x840 2272x1604 2272x1704 The Zoom lens is a schneider and offers 3x optical and 4x digital. a 6cm super macro ...

Advantages: Quality images with many features which can be associated with more expensive digital cameras. Disadvantages: Small 1.5inch LCD screen.
The Samsung Digimax V4 is a good looking palm-sized four-megapixel digital camera. It incorporates the well acclaimed Schneider 3x optical zoom lens for clear and natural looking pictures.

Advantages: Ease of use & range of functions Disadvantages: Poor battery life on anything but proper Lithium camera battery
We've enjoyed our first attempts at digital photography and the digimax is very simple to set up and use quickly. I'm sure there are lots of additional features we've yet to explore but the beauty is that you don't need to for everyday shots. Our only gripe is that it seems to eat up batteries. Other than the pure lithium camera batteries (expensive!), everything else lasts little more than a few hours. Duracell, rechargeables all the same. This ... ...the camera is that it can use any type of battery! We've now bought a very expensive lithium recharger so we'll see if that is any better. We've also found it is well worth having two or three memory cards as it is very easy to fill them up. ...

Advantages: Features Disadvantages: ??????mmmmmmmm none yet.
I bought this camera purely for the value for money. The very helpful man from Jessops demonstrated numorous cameras in my price range but the Pixels per pound and Zoom range were far superior to the Canon, Sony and Kodak camera for the same price. Infact for similar features some manufacturers where charging upto £100 more!!!!!!!!!!
Its a great format to use and I can click like a madman all day then delete the naff pictures and start all over ... ...I understand the features it has and the more enjoyment I get from it. I bought it primarily to captures photos of my 3 year old son but due to the enjoyment I get using this camera it is turning into a hobby.
Taking 4-5 pictures of the same scene, setting the camera settings differently can give you quite different results. ...

Advantages: Exellent pictures, lots of features, easy to use. Disadvantages: Menu is a bit fiddly untill you get used to it.

...We settled on the Samsung as it had the best build and features for the price and bought online at Sussex Cameras for £310 including a 128mb memory card. The instruction manual could be better, but once you get the hang of the basic functions it’s very simple to use. The video mode is a nice extra. I've taken studio-quality pictures of my daughter with it and the results are excellent. As a general family digital camera, I really can't find fault ...

...of a hotshoe. Something Samsung would consider in their future designs, perhaps? A faster and responsive auto-focus, changeable lenses (don't we all) and a hotshoe would be top of my list. But, if I wanted to buy this camera for family use or as a gift, then yes, I would definitely buy it. ...
