Advantages: Compact, packed with features, easy to navigate Disadvantages: no bluetooth
I purchased my little Samsung E350 a couple of months ago following yet another accident with my phone which entailed dropping my trusty Nokia work phone into a cup of coffee. Annoyed because my Nokia had a decent camera and my Motorola was irritating me with it's distinct lack of features I decided to pay a visit to my local O2 shop and see what kind of deals they could offer to persuade me to part with my 'hard-earned, burning-hole-in-pocket, desperate-to-buy-phone, ... ...won over. The Samsung E350 is a 'slide phone', something I have never given much credence to, being a fan of the clamshell/flip variety. The front of the phone features a TFT LCD 128 x 160 Pixels / 65,536 colours screen along with navigation buttons for accessing the menus to change settings, access messages, contacts, WAP etc. Everything on the phone can be accessed from this small keypad on the front but you cannot type text messages etc - to do ...

...then started looking at the SAMSUNG phones Most of these were clam shaped with the keys being hidden on the inside of the clam until the hand-set is opened revealing them.As for me , at least it meant an end to me accidently makeing phonecalls.
I still to this day think this is a brilliant feature and one which kept me useing the SAMSUNG brand. I had been a Nokia user for many years. I had also been on a monthly contract since day dot. Just before Christmas l decided l wanted to cut back on the pennies and when adding up my monthly phone bill l realised that for what l was paying l hardly ever used my phone so decided to do away with the contract and go onto pay-as-you-go. I nipped down to Phones 4 U and started to seach the phones for a new replacement. Normally l would go straight to ... ...When closed it measures just 8cm high by 4cm with a depth of 2cm. You can put it in your pocket and not even know it was there. The first feature that immediately caught my eye was that when the phone was shut it automatically went on key lock, l was always forgetting to do this on my old phone, forever ringing people without realising it. To activate the phone you slide the main bit up. Now fully open it still only measures 12cm high. You can now ...

When it comes to buying a new handset you don't always have to look at the most expensive options available to get the range of features you need. Take the SGH-E350 from Samsung, for example. Despite an obvious omission -- Bluetooth -- and an inability to expand the internal memory, this handset has a few tricks up its slider, including a reasonable camera, a nifty MP3 player and a handy voice recorder. It's not going to blow your mind, but it's ... ...won't blow your budget either. We found it free on a £20 monthly tariff from O2, for example, or for £120 on Orange pay-as-you-go and £130 on pay-as-you-go from O2. Design
The SGH-E350 belongs to that rare genus of handsets, the lesser-spotted slider. This means it is relatively small, and at just 45 by 85 by 21mm you should be able to carry it in pretty much any pocket. It's light too: its 75g makes it a real featherweight. Of course, when you ...

Ill start of telling you about the phone's looks... the one i have is black but I beleive you can buy it in metalic silver or white aswel even though I have never seen them myself. The phone is moderatley small approximatley 11.5cm when fully open and 8.5cm when shut. This phone was released in 2005, and in my opinion, it was released to late, after the very popular d500. The D500 a slightly larger, and when first released much more expensive phone, ... ...In December 2005 I was given the phone as a christmas gift, at first I was very pleased! ...told me that the new samsung phone, E350 was out now and it was just as good as the D500 but it doesn't have bluetooth. Since i wanted the D500, i thought that a phone just like must be good...
***** The E350 *****

Secondly, the E350's memory was 30 megabytes compared to the D500 which was 80 megabytes. Also this memory could only hold about 5 songs and i wanted at least 20. Thirdly, the talktime was less than half what the D500 was - 3 hours compared to 6.5

Advantages: Size, weight, style. Disadvantages: No bluetooth, slighty stiff sliding mec as apposed to other slider phones.
This is the phone ive got now and ive had it for a good 6 months too. The fact its lasted this long is an achievment in itself because i usually wash my phones in the first 3! I chose this phone mainly because of its size and weight, it fits into your palm perfectly and also your pocket, so for me it was just right. Also id taken i liking for the sliding feature on a previous phone but infortunatly the sliding mech on this wasnt as smooth as i think ... ...my old phone used two metal rods to allow the top to slide, the E350 clips into eachother so theres much more friction. As for the features it was perfect for me because i like the organiser which reminds you of meetings, birthdays and 'to do' things with a handy alarm to make sure you dont miss them.
Also theres 3 alarms which can be set at different times and also days which is brilliant when working different times on different days.
The camera ...

Look and Feel: This is a small and sleek phone, with a clear screen and hard buttons. It is compact and slightly thicker than most new slider phones, but this helps towards its durability.
Durability & Robustness : I have had this phone for about 2 years, and it is still going strong. I must admit that it has more than a few scrapes and cuts, but it still works brilliantly. The thickness of the model means that it is less likely to break.
Reception ... ...Battery Standby time: The battery lasts a very long time for my phone. I do not know if it would differ for other phones of the same make. My battery typically lasts over a week.
Value for Money: This is a really good phone to buy if you are looking for a model that will last you a long time, and can fufill all that you need a phone to do. The battery lasts a long time, and the phone has great capabilities such as WAP/GPRS, Infrared etc. It takes ...

after having a sagem for a couple of years, my partner decided to treat me to a new phone. Having seen a d500, i was hoping that the e350 would be just as good. I wasn't disappointed. Advantages: Ease of use, compact, range of functions Disadvantages: No bluetooth
This I believe when first released was Samsung's version of the affordable 'slide' phone which they pretty much invented. The phone is very compact, easy to use, durable and reliable. It is quite stylish too. It's very hard to find a phone as small as this packed with so many various features. It has a pretty good, bright screen, standard 65K. It is very light which is expected of it's size. The keypad is great for text messaging and is easily accessible. ... ...player, infrared connectivity, vga camera/video functions (roughly 0.3 megapixel camera), which is acceptable one can suppose. The games are also not bad, it comes with three built in of a range of genre. Also there are useful applications on the phone such as world ...
