SAMSUNG GALAXY MINI GT-S5570 The Samsung Galaxy Mini is part of the Galaxy series launched by Samsung. It was released one year ago (mid-February 2011) and it comes in black colour, with a silver or lime green stripe around the edge and in white. I bought my black/steel grey Samsung Galaxy Mini GT-S5570 on June from the Carphone Warehouse with the Pay As You Go deal of the “3” network for £ 100. The device was unlocked and “3” was offering the cheapest off-contract price comparing to other mobile networks. Technological Features The phone operating system is Google Android 2.2 that can be ... more

Advantages Advantages Comparatively low price, easy to use, good for newbies to smartphones

Disadvantages Disadvantages battery life? can't transfer text message from old phone, power and volume button locality

Introduction As a complete newcomer to smartphones, apart from the occasional play on others’ devices, I wanted something cheap and fairly basic. Therefore my review is intended to tell you what you can expect to experience when turning on the phone and exploring the functions for the first time, as I have created this review whilst doing so myself. I bought this phone for £91.75 in July 2012, and I was gutted to see that it was previously £88 earlier that month. Still, I seemed intent on this device and liked that it had an Android OS. I noticed that the phone that I purchased came with ... more

Disadvantages Disadvantages battery life, voice activated dialling does not work, poor PC software

I have been using the Samsung Galaxy Mini GTS-5570 for around five months now, I bought it from a Vodafone shop. I looked at various smart phones, I needed one which was a reasonable cost to buy so I could use it on a pay as you go tarriff. The Galaxy Mini is smaller than most smart phones which are similar in size to the iphone, this means its screen is not the widescreen format but a squarer aspect ratio, the camera is fairly basic with no zoom, but it can stitch together images into a panoramic view by sweeping across. I have not used the camcorder function, but the MP3 player works well ... more

A phone is something you now a days depend on very much for everything. My first android phone i bought was Samsung Galaxy Mini S5570. The price and the android operating system compelled me to go for this phone. I did not get it through a contract but just in lum sum and was not that expensive I thought. The phone is an awesome phone reason being it gives me access to to almost all the features of android and android Operating system is better than other operating systems as its different to the others and also Opensource and free. Advantages Advantages Small, low cost, feature packed

Disadvantages Disadvantages No flash, doesnt support many high end apps.

I avoided the Samsung Galaxy Mini when I went shopping for a new mobile phone because I'd heard that it had bad screen, was low end because it was cheaply made and that it was an awful phone, amongst other things. But after four days of shopping and browsing and generally pulling out my hair I asked a helpful assistant in my local T-Mobile store to recommend some handsets. She pushed a chubby looking little handset across with a bright screen and very few buttons and said, "I recommend the Galaxy Mini." I nearly ran a mile, but stopped myself when she tapped the screen a couple of times and it ... more

Samsung Galaxy Mini Summary Of The Product Last year Galaxy released four variants of the same phone, each with a different price tag. The mini was the cheapest of those four. Despite it's name, mini is actually an exaggeration as it's screen size is actually a nice 3.2" touchscreen. Unfortunately this budget bundle only comes with a 3 megapixel photo and video camera which is a bit of a shame when comparing it to it's bigger brothers, but none the less this is still a great phone. This high speed 3G product comes packaged with android market 2.2, supplying the user with a range of over 100 ... more

Advantages Advantages Extremely similar to an iPhone with great features and a clear camera of good quality.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Poor battery life and requires a lot of charge (but is outweighed by the advantages).

Being a serial phone owner, constantly picking the difficult ones and having to change after a few months due to the faults, I decided to transfer my phone contract to a cheaper handset. But having a terrible track record, I was feeling regretful about picking the Samsung Galaxy Ace. It was only due to recommendations that I grudgingly agreed to make the purchase, just waiting for a problem to occur with the handset. I was greeted by a simplistic box, very nicely packaged, with full instructions and manuals inside. The phone itself was also very simplistic, being a small white handset, light ... more

Advantages Advantages Fits a lot of features into a small phone, compact, not too heavy, looks stylish, good value

Disadvantages Disadvantages For just a little more money, other Galaxy models can do more

I chose the Samsung Galaxy as my next phone, when I purchased it a few months ago, as I thought it would be a good choice for a then first time Galaxy and indeed Android, user. It is one of the more basic Galaxy phones out their, but still comes with many features that are likely to be enough for a lot of people, it can do a lot of what people want from their phones. Let's start with the look of the phone. It follows a nice rounded edge from top to bottom in it's outer area. The screen is almost as wide as the whole of the phone. Some people may prefer a larger touch screen size, some may ... more

Advantages Advantages Easy to use, Nice screen,

Disadvantages Disadvantages No flash player, back easily damaged

For me, this was my first android phone. I found it was perfect as just that. There was no reason to be overwhelmed by all the features. I found it to be a great user experience. It made me familiar with the basic android features at a GREAT price. Applications such as Netflix and Youtube work perfectly, much better than any non android phone I have had in the past. The disadvantage would be the lack of a flash player. But if you're just looking for an android phone that will make calls, texts and have a LOT of features to show off to your friends. This would be the one to use. I found it was ... more

Advantages Advantages wide touchscreen, great response from the touchwiz 3.0, wifi, 3G

Disadvantages Disadvantages poor resolution, no flash, only 3MP camera

Got a chance to check out samsung galaxy mini. First impression: Has a small screen 3'14"! But, once you actually see it, it's very very impressive. Unlike other phones with even 3.2" screens, the screen on this phone looks a tad bigger, thanks to more width. Hence typing is definitely easier on this phone. In fact, swype worked very well on this phone. The resolution on the phone isn't anything to talk about but decent enough. The touch response is excellent, couldn't have expected better from a cheap phone. Slide your fingers slowly on the phone to unlock it, and it unlocks pretty quick! You ... more
