Purchased the Samsung LE32A457 on the 2nd July '08. Found it to be very easy to set-up the basic video & sound. To get the best from this model you do have to tweak all the settings, and there are plenty of them. The defaults are OK but was a lot, lot better after my personal settings. I was impressed with the picture quality and I don't have to have the volume up high to hear the sound clearly. I would suggest you buy a HDMI cable if you have anything ...

I bought my Samsung LE32A457 on the 1 July 2009 at my local Currys and I have been very satisified with the quality. It does take a bit of tinkering to get the best out of the TV i.e adjust sound settings, however I was very impressed with the picture quality and sound. Bought in Dec 08 and am very pleased with my first experience with LCD television, it came a a very pleasant surprise, the ease of the setup, engineer only took 5 minds from unpacking to going out the door, we were a bit puzzled by various controls, (still are), but we are getting used to them, slowly. We are very pleased with picture quality and all the other features and would recommend one to any of my friends,relatives as an excellent TV. Paid approx £340 for it(my only question is,is this expensive?) ...

I have been looking for a widescreen television for about a year now. I was about to buy a LG 32LB75 when I saw the picture quality of the Samsung LE32A457. The difference was unbelievable! For a little more money it was well worth it! The picture clarity of the Samsung is stunning. Freeview Standard Definition is a cut above most other LCDs I've seen. Skin tones are impressively natural, and colours are crisp. Ghosting does not seem to be a problem on this model. Sound is average, but hidden speakers are a plus. I bought this today for the bargain price of £428 and I must say it is absolutely beautiful. The picture and sound are unbelivable. I would definetely recommend to anyone. The contrast is 10.000:1 with built in freeview in a black gloss finish, with clear edging round the bottom. UPDATE 8 DAYS LATER. I am totally in love with this television. It is everything you would want in a television and then some!!! The picture is perfect (No ghosting etc) ...
