I want one. Not too big, at 329mm wide and 355mm deep it doesn’t hog the desk and it’s beige… beige again…well it matches the rest doesn’t it? Colourful stickers though. Driver software installation Simple. ...allowed me use of her Samsung ML 1210 Laser print and I was suitably impressed with both the quality of print and the printer itself. ** INSTALLATION ** I am told the printer is very easy to install. Physically the printer comes almost intact - the only piece you need to install is a translucent blue plastic holder for output paper to rest against. It doesn't come with any cables other than the power cables so you'll need to buy your own USB or ...
...PRINTING ** The Samsung ML-1210 prints like a dream. According to the manufacturer it prints 12 ppm but quite honestly it seems faster to me. When I was printing the pantomime scripts i.e. large documents or multiple copies of smaller documents e.g. fliers & posters, I didn’t find myself twiddling my thumbs or staring at the printer waiting for it to get around to finishing the job. It prints quietly and without a fuss. It never jammed with A4 paper, ...

My Printer of Choice

Advantages: Quick and easy
Disadvantages: Noise!!

I'm reviewing the Samsung ML-1210 for your reading pleasure. A laser printer that is not a recent model I admit but this printer has been in our possession for some time so it can't be all that bad. THE PRINTER The printer itself is rather bulky (32.9cm x 35.2cm x 22.9cm) with it being an older model and obviously laser printers usually are bigger in size. It holds 2500 pages of A4 and has 2 options as to where you want your paper to come out. If ...
...out tray however for smaller documents there is a flip tray at the bottom that can be pulled out to allow the paper to come out there. To be honest I don't see the advantage of this and generally just use the normal tray provided. The printer doesn't look anything fancy, it's kind of an off-cream colour (more so now its a little nicotine stained, ooops) with a grey plastic piece sticking from the output tray so when your document comes out it remains ...

Quicker than something slow !?

Advantages: Fast and economical
Disadvantages: Can sometimes play up!

Recently I found that I was producing an unusually high volume of urine. I was also producing large volumes of documents that needed to be printed off. I found that not only was the inkjet that I used was not the quickest printer to be invented, it was also not the most economically friendly, it seemed to drink ink faster than a fat bloke eats pies in a pie shop after being on a diet for two weeks/days/minutes. (Incidentally the printer, an HP PSC1210, ...
...printers- see my review on it for more info). I had thought about buying a laser for general printing, where there was not a need for colour, however the price had always put me off. Recently though, the price of laser printers has come down, the cheapest being under one hundred quid, possibly even about the seventy quid mark. The ML1210 was in a Boxing Day sale, reduced to fifty quid, so that is when I bought it. I have since seen it reduced to ...

Samsung ML1210 -the Printer with Personalities

Advantages: Very simple to use, reliable, excellent print quality
Disadvantages: tempermental software

...long time, I brought a Samsung ML1210 Laser Printer. The problems with the inkjet printers usually stemmed from their flimsy plastic mechanisms- pieces snapped off and springs stretched, snapped or simply fell off. Further the price of the cartridges were astronomical, especially the colour cartridges that never seemed to last very long. At the time of my transition to Laser printing, the majority of my printing consisted of essays for my degree ...
...World I noticed the little Samsung ML1210 at a price of just under £169.00 (this was in 2002), and promptly purchased it. MY SAMSUNG 1210 The most attractive thing about the Samsung 1210 is its simplicity: there are very few moving parts to go wrong. The drum (usually the most expensive part of the printer to replace in the laser printers) is integrated with the toner, which means that every time you get a new toner you get a new drum! This maintains ...

Great value for money!

Advantages: - cheap price; economical; good, clear print in text mode; fast; reliable
Disadvantages: - no printer cable; no printed manual; print quality for photos & graphics not good

...user. I chose the Samsung ML-1210 as it was a good price and it had consistently good reviews on the internet. Dabs.com offered the printer for the cheapest price (£85 all inclusive), so I ordered through them and they delivered within 3 days – very good service and I’ll use them again. The printer box was lighter than I expected and it was very well packed. The printer looked and felt like good quality and it was all very easy to install. ...
...I’ve had the Samsung ML-1210 for about 3 weeks now, printed about 150 pages and have had one minor jams (was the paper’s fault not the printer’s) or any other problems. It prints fast and the quality of the print is very good for normal text. Photos and graphics are not very sharp, but then I very rarely use it for this purpose. A full toner cartridge at about £50 is supposed to last for about 2500 pages at normal quality and 3500 ...

A great SOHO workhorse

Advantages: Quick, very well priced and well spec'd
Disadvantages: Initial problem with cartridge but sorted out by excellent Customer Service.

I bought this printer from Office Worldabout 3 months ago for £59.99. Office World bundled 2 reams of paper with it so it seemed a particularly good deal. It came with a toner cartridge, but be aware, like most suppliers, this is a "starter" pack and is only one third full. Setting it up was a doddle once I worked out which way round the toner cartridge went! I chose to connect by the parallel port option but could easily have used USB as the printer ...
...enough USB ports as it is. Software loaded fine under XP Pro and I was up and running less than 15 minutes after opening the box. Unfortunately every print had a smudge mark (in exactly the same place). I tried everything in the book but it stayed there and did not fade away after time, as these things often do. A call to Office World resulted in a new toner cartridge being delivered to my door the very next day. How about that for service? Well ...

...12. What a difference. The Samsung never jams--I mean never. I have not had a single problem with it. This is a nice change of pace from the inkjets which are notorious for paper jams. Networking was easy. I networked it to my roommate's computer. The USB port made that a snap. Runs well off of Windows 98 and XP platforms. The printer has envelope, business card, label and other media printing features which I cannot comment on because I have not ...
...like... The only con is that I've given up color printing; however, 99% of my printing is black and white anyways. This was a great investment. If you are considering buying an inkjet printer for your home or office, skip it and go for this one. It offers superior performance at a competitive price. You'll be glad you did. Thank you for visiting my review. Good luck. ...

Mine Needs Replacing After Just A Year

Advantages: Fast and easy to use; Good quality; Good starter printer
Disadvantages: Mine became very unreliable after about a year

...been my experience with the Samsung ML 1210. I've seen stirling reviews for it from technically gifted owners and layman alike. I like to think that I have an average knowledge of printers - I can do the basics - and I have had a poor experience with this one. As the reviews on this site are purely subjective, I ask those who disagree with me to understand that this review is based on my own experience. I have had the printer for about a year and ...
...in no time at all. The problem wasn't the paper jamming, but loading the paper fast enough! Sure enough it performed as other reviews have noted that it performs. Costing £69.99 with free bundle of economy office paper and a toner cartridge it seemed like a great buy. There is the initial 10-15 seconds where the printer has a 'think'. and then the paper shoots out in great quality. I've never had any problems with the cartridges (sorry, I cant remember ...

...to do this from the Samsung website. The Ml1210 starts quickly. I've never had a paper jam or any other problem with it, and when I switched from a serial to a USB cable (not included) earlier this year, it worked even faster. I have no complaints about the speed of printing. A gap at the front (which can be opened by pressing a lever) allows paper to come out of the front rather than the top. This is a feature I have used many times, as my printer ...

The ML1210 is a must for any home or office user

Advantages: Small, Compact & Cheap. Also prints directly onto envelopes
Disadvantages: none

I have had my Samsung ML1210 Laser Printer for almost 2 years now and it is still running strong. It features 2 inputs, 1 standard Parallel/Centronics port and 1 USB port. I now have my ML1210 connected to my USB Printer Server so the printer can be shared over my network, and I have no problems at all. With a print speed of 12 pages per minute, the Samsung ML1210 serves its purpose and is quick enough for me. It also prints at 600dpi and its print ...

So far I have had no problems with paper jams with this printer, compared to other printers I have owned. It also has 8mb of memory built in which is enough for the jobs I need it to do. It also features 2 additional options on the printer itself, 1 is Toner ...

Easy Home printer

Advantages: Fast & quiet
Disadvantages: none

I bought this printer from PC World to replace my Lexmark. I was wanting a flat laser printer, but decided to buy this one because it was about half the price of the cheapest flatbed. Both my partner & I are extremely happy with it. We have it in our living room & it is small enough not to get in the way - not to mention how quiet it is. It is fast & warms up within 15 seconds. Installation could not have been simpler as it just installs itself - ...

Samsung ML1210 great quality at a brilliant price

Advantages: Quick, Efficient, Good quality at an excellent price
Disadvantages: No USB cable supplied

This is an excellent printer. It is fast, compact & highliy efficient and cost effective. The Toner Save mode prints excellent quality pages but at an extremely cost effect price. Having only had inkjet printers before this was definitly worth it. I saved the cost with the free toner cartridge that it would have cost me just to keep refilling my old Lexmark Inkjet printer. buy refills from the web & save even more - i refilled for just £11.49 ...

I print lots of electronic journals for university work & was spending far too much before, now it's cheaper than photocopying them in the library and far more convenient. It's also extremely fast, much faster than inkjets, which makes this a perfect, entry-level laser printer. ...
