Advantages Advantages Compact, light, fast, good value

Disadvantages Disadvantages Maybe a slightly small screen, nothing major

Among the many Netbooks and tablets which have flooded the portable computing market over the last couple of years, the Samsung N130 is a modest but effective entry. The N130 is a light netbook which generally packs 1GB or RAM and a 160GB hard disk drive. Aside from a slot for SD memory cards, there are no external media drives, to further reduce the size and weight of the device, but three USB ports, as well as for a monitor cable or network connection. With a 10" backlit screen, the N130 has an adequate display for word processing, internet browsing and email, but complex spreadsheets can ... more

Advantages Advantages Great build quality, packed with features, excellent value, overall a good product

Disadvantages Disadvantages No CD/DVD drive, integrated graphics (normal for a netbook)

The Samsung N130 is another addition to the netbook portfolio, sporting Windows 7 starter and an intel atom processor. This technology is wrapped in a sturdy, high quality chassis, which is lightweight, comfortable and aesthetically pleasing. A netbook is basically a small form laptop, which the N130 really is. The screen is vibrant at 10inches, and there is no CD/DVD drive because this type of computer is mainly designed for the networking and flash storage era. It is pre-loaded with Windows 7 starter, which is an edition of Windows 7 which has many limits, most of which are not noticed, due ... more

Advantages Advantages Price, Ease of use, overall product

    Disadvantages Disadvantages battery life, mouse

The Samsung N130 netbook is a great little netbook for the price you pay, and the power that it delivers. Firstly this is a netbook so it can’t compete with a laptop or PC which is obvious, but does what it says: it’s a NETbook. Browsing the net on this netbook is quick with a fast internet connection, from browsing to downloading. This includes email, facebook, shopping and even youtube. Can work with multiple windows open though can slow if sites have a lot of java script. Would highly recommend upgrading an extra gig of ram, but this is up to you and is very simple to do. Playback is good ... more

Advantages Advantages Small, compact and easy to use

Disadvantages Disadvantages Small keyboard and better for emailing, surfing and shopping.

As an overview the Samsung N130 is 10.7" x 7.4" x 1.2" and weighs 2.6 pounds. It is a netbook computer and has a retail cost of around £200.00. It has a small and compact shape with round eges and the battery and the far back of the netbook raises it around a quarter of an inch. With an Atom N270 processer, the netbook is ideal for surfing the web and emailing but it tends to be a bit on the sluggish side when having to cope with a lot of applications. Due to its size, the keyboard on the netbook is quite small but even myself, as a secretary, adapted very quickly and it is very easy to touch ... more

Advantages Advantages lightweight and easy to use

    Disadvantages Disadvantages small screen

a fab netbook= I got myself a Samsung N130 when my desktop was infor repair as I needed constant access to my email account. It's proved to be a really good buy! I still use the desktop for big pieces of work, but for personal browsing - shopping and chatting to friends - I use the netbook. It's quick to turn on and off and has a decent battery life (a couple of hours) so you don't have to sit there with wires trailing the floor. The screen is compact, but clear and the keyboard is not too pokey - even for my fat fingers! It's also nice and lightweight too (1.2kg approx)so ideal for ... more

Advantages Advantages it is fairly cheap, fast and it looks good

Disadvantages Disadvantages keyboard takes some getting used to

I think this netbook is very well designed and looks very nice with its matte black finish. the ease of upgrading the RAM to 2gb was very helpful and now it is even faster than my desktop pc. the battery is great - the longest i have ever got from a netbook or laptop and this was lengthened by the larger battery i bought for it quite cheaply. i found it really handy having a webcam as i can use it for skype and taking pictures etc and the preloaded software on it was very useful with this. the screen isnt huge but is pretty standard and all you could expect from a netbook like this. i also ... more
