This is a super little camera which I have so far really enjoyed owning. the main difference from my Nikon Coolpix is the lack of a viewfinder but the screen is so much brighter I haven't found that an issue, even out of doors, also the screen seems pretty tough, it hasn't noticeably scratched in 3 months of use, mostly outdoors. At first I found the images a little harsh to the eye overall, I now think that may be just the higher resolution although ... ...be major compromises in that department. Pictures from the Nikon (4 MP compared to 7) now look soft as old boots, but they stil have a slightly more pleasing tonality overall, perhaps unsurprising from a lens about 4 times the area of the Samsung's.

I have owned my Samsung NV3 for well over a year now, and it still manages to impress me every time I use it. As a camera, it is amazingly user friendly, packs a bunch of great features, is highly reliable, looks superb, and is extremely good value. Oh, and its not bad at taking pictues either.
In fact, the pictures are outstanding. The NV3 finds the perfect balance feature wise; it won't overwhelm, but has plenty of depth with regards to options. ... ...to your liking, but you can also take a pre-set option, which, thanks to the 'Scene' mode, there are many of, for every occasion. This camera was the first camera i ever brought and is an amazing camera to own so much so my friend brought exactly the same one. I found the flash on the camera pretty good when in the dark even if you cant see what I was taking when the flash goes off the picture came out clear it has mp3 with earphones and even speakers which was suprisingly loud, video recording which is good enough for a camera and many more things to enjoy it is very stylish ...

This camera is very good in terms of a point and shoot camera, it wont appeal to the more proffesional of photographer as it doesnt quite have the functionality for that. I purchased this camera after researching for many months and decided it would suit me best. The picture quality is superb for everyday use aswell well as for skiing / mountain biking. The mp3/ portable media player functionality is a bonus and very well thought out. Build quality ... ...3 months now for sceneray shoots in france to fishing trips, it produces a wonderful picture everytime. I would definitely recommend this camera to any of my friends or family as i have used several different makes and model of camera in the past. My overall impression is that this is not just a camera because of the mp3 and portable media player functionality with a good battery life to boot......fully recommended. ...

the camera is very simple to use, has lots of different features and takes a really good picture. I haven't found the zoom as good as other cameras but for taking out and about to parties it has taken some great pictures. Recently bought this camera off Ebay for a great price, which included a memory card. I took the camera with me on holiday to budapest on the 21st January to 27th (last week) and was a little worried as I did not have to time to read through the user manual or get used to using it!! However, with just the auto function, it took amazing pictures, which were not affected by movement of the object or the camera, rain, bad weather conditions, or darkness. ... ...that you can choose from that result in excellant photographs, such as nighttime, portrait, landscape, etc. Camera proved to be excellant for both close of shots of people, monuments and widespread shots of the city from on top of a mountain. Also had great fun recording videos, which I did not expect to be of such great quality! Also, the long battery life and ability to charge the camera by mains instead of having to buy batteries was great!!! ...

the samsung nv3 is a small, stylish camera. but that is not all it is. its is an mp3 player with excellent sound quality, even when you unplug the headphones and listen to it out loud.
the nv3 is, once you get used to is, an easy to use piece of technology, but it oes take a little while to get used to and completely understand everything. the camera part of it, is easy to use, but the mp3 player part of it is slightly more complicated but still ... ...is that only the special headphones fit into it, so if you lose them, you cannot just used any old head phones to replace them. The nv3 is perfect for anyone, it is not specifically aimed at one age range (although from personal experiance, teenagers love it as a birthday or christmas present, but then again, so do husbands)

When i was searching for a camera I looked around...ALOT
I saw this and thought...hmmm..an Mp3 player, video player ect all in one camera. Too good to be true.
It wasn't. The camera is fantastic. Its response time it tiny and takes superb pictures.
The only nag is that when using flash at long range it picks up the specs of dust. Other cameras do this as well but hey =D

I have owned this camera for approximately 18 months.
Its broken at the moment which doesn't say too much about it's performance however it is overall an excellent little device!! It is one of the best looking cameras around; it's ultra-compact, it doesnt weigh too much-although it's far from flimsy, and the colours are really elegant! It also feels really nice to hold and is really starightforward to use.
It has many useful features including ... ...videos; using its 2 mini, sleek speakers.
I've found that the black paint can become scratched on the front of the camera which doesnt look very glamourous but if you're careful i'm sure it will stay in perfect sparkling condition!
Although it's broken at the moment I have had one more problem.... I'm not sure my speakers have worked since the first few months of me getting it? Probably courtesy to it being dropped.

This camera is fantastic! It took me sometime to get used to half-holding the button (to autofocus) but the shots are incredibly vivid. I use my Mac to edit them and it is amazing how crystal clear the colours and content are. The different modes are also brilliant, especially the firework one, which does work, and produced some interesting shots. I would recommend this camera for someone who wants great shots without the fuss of a complicated camera. ...

This is an amazing little camera that continues to impress everyone to tends to borrow it. Considering it only has 7.2 MP compared to the markets current average of around 10 it still produces amazing quality pictures with features that allow you to have fun with the photos aswell. The screen on the back of the camera is bright and gives a clear screenshot of what you are about to shoot. The menu system is also incredibly easy to use. This camera looks and feels good. Its got style and lots of added extras. It takes pictures, videos and you can listens to MP3s and watch MP4s when you are not taking pictures.
Once you learn how to use the camera it takes great pictures and video in both daytime and nighttime. You have to buy a bigger memory card if you want to take videos and use the mp3 and mp4 functions.
It got a great two year worldwide guarntee and great for travelling.

I bought one of these few months ago & i am very happy with it.
I also have a Nikon (film) SLR & i bought this camera to complement it.
In some places it can be a bit dodgy to carry a camera bag, but the NV3 is small,flat & robust enough for me to put it in the front pocket of my jeans & forget about it until needed. I bought it with a 1GB SD card for an extra £20, so i could store a movie & loads of mp3 files on it to keep the little one quiet ...
