Advantages Advantages Touch Screen, iPlayer, Multimedia Player, Reasonable Price

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Can't access Hotmail

I love upgrade time, a brand new shiny phone in my hands is just the thing to bring a smile to my face. This year I finally decided to take the plunge into touch screen technology and picked the Samsung S5620 Monte as my free upgrade on a £10/month contract from Vodafone. Before I go any further, let me say, I love this phone, although it’s by no means perfect, it is far, far more than an instrument for making calls with (and so this review is likely to be little long). Out Of The Box My Monte was delivered in a surprisingly small box, along with a set of earphones, battery, charger, USB lead ... more

Advantages Advantages looks and feels goodish.

Disadvantages Disadvantages can't really be called a smart phone.

There I was. In phones4u looking for my next phone. And there it was. The Samsung Monte jumped out at me like an over excited jack in the box. The price, the look and the touchscreen. These are all used as the carrot to draw you in, but do they just polish the metaphorical turd? Is this phone the full Monte? Look and Feel The look and feel of the phone are quite good, at first. The light weight phone (weighing just 92g) is perfect for holding in your hand for a long time, when you are being interviewed for a job over the phone or talking to your long distance partner. The curved back also fits ... more

Advantages Advantages Connectivity and interface - and price

Disadvantages Disadvantages Touch-screen/keyboard functionality and manual

The Samsung GT S5620 'Monte' represents good value for smart phone functionality and design. It's crammed with more features than I, for one, really need. But, most importantly, it does it all at a competitive price, certainly compared with the more obvious upmarket alternatives. Its main strengths are connectivity and interface: wifi, 3G, a touch screen and more for around £100 purchase price on Pay-as-You-Go. But its touch-screen/'keyboard' might not suit all. Disclaimer/caveat: This review mainly focuses on web browsing/access functionality The right replacement package for some My mobile ... more

    User recommends the product

Advantages Advantages Stylich, lightweight, easy to use, loads of quality features, touchscreen

Disadvantages Disadvantages Difficult to use with PC, slow internet, no camera flash

This is my first Samsung phone after my 5 year old Sony Ericsson broke. My friend got one several weeks previously and recommended it. It looks stylish and fits nicely into your hand, however feels flimsier than other phones I have had. It takes a while if you've never had a touchscreen before but once you get the hang of it its easy to lock/unlock although you have to unlock it to check if you have any messages which on my other phones automatically came up. Also the vibrate isn't that powerful. I don't know if this is just my experience but the CDs the phone comes with don't work so you have ... more

Advantages Advantages Good battery life, easy to use

Disadvantages Disadvantages Vibration is poor, not many games, not enough memory (internal)

Right, this was my first ever phone, i pay £10 a month and I am regretting choosing this phone. The phone is very basic literally no android markets, no qwerty keyboard, no flash! I understand that i am paying £10 a month and i should expect that but currently you are able to get a Samsung galaxy ace for that price, which is a much better phone. I am a student, and subsequently have my phone constantly on vibration, however the vibration is terrible; literally i cannot feel it unless i am sitting down in a very very quiet room. The phone isn't that bad as i may make it seem, it has a very good ... more

Advantages Advantages Mix of features, Good Camera, Great Screen, Not too expensive

Disadvantages Disadvantages Seems a little bulky at first but still much smaller than iPhone etc...

Great phone for a Reasonable price Having lost, broken, or been cut off the network with previous phones, I was initially sceptical about spending over £100 on a phone, but at the same time reluctant to spend up to £100 on a phone which didn't do much or look very appealing. Enter Monte After about a month of not bothering with any phone I decided to bite the bullet. I needed: * A phone on the 3g network (So 3 wouldn't cut me off again) * Touch Screen (Once you've tried it it's hard to go back) * Stylish * Robust Not a lot to ask really, but I chose the Samsung Monte because it met the afore ... more

Advantages Advantages overall design (simple, classic, eye catching), stability in internet connection

Disadvantages Disadvantages sometimes you'll get some problems in Wifi connections.

One of my favorite touch screen smart phone :) I like the 3 inch capacitive touchscreen, high display sensitivity, and the screen keyboard is really comfortable to use. This smart-phone has many great new features such as 3G/HDSPA with 3.6 Mbps, WIFI, GPS, Bluetooth 2.1, Touchwiz 2.0 platform, and also 3.2 megapixel camera along with video recorder, FM radio, and of course MP3/MP4 player. It also has Google Maps application along with Google Latitude, ActiveSync and Social Networking aplication. I think it's incredible that an affordable price smart-phone has 3.5G hdspa (3.6 Mbps) data access ... more
