It’s hard now to imagine life prior to the digital camera.
I fear that there are many younger people reading this review that may not even remember that dim and distant past. The time when you ended up with hundreds of out of focus pictures, decapitated grannies or drawers full of films waiting to be taken for development!!
There is no need at all for me to go into the many benefits of digital cameras, instead ... ...inexpensive little camera – the Samsung S760.
This camera is actually my son’s camera; his sister bought it him for his 13th birthday. He had received his own laptop for Christmas so she thought that a digital camera would be an ideal present.
What we wanted for him was a camera that wasn’t TOO expensive (he does have a penchant for falling into the canal – several mobiles have gone to a watery grave!!), was easy to use, compact and at least 6 ...

Advantages: Price, Clear picture, Battery Disadvantages: Not good at nighttime/darkness outside
...The 'face detection' technology that samsung says this camera has is not excellent and only tends to work close up at around less than 1m away (so far as I can tell). Also, when trying to take pictures in the dark (e.g. outside at nighttime) the camera gives a warning saying insufficient lighting' and while it still allows you to take a picture, the lens doesn't seem to focus properly which quite often results the photo appearing a bit blurred. However, ... ...say it was an average/good buy. If you're looking for an affordable digital camera which has descent quality, this is the camera for you.
