To be honest, I'm not sure you can still buy this phone on the high street. Maybe you can find an Arthur Daley that'll let you take one off his hands for a tenner at your local market, but that's about the only way you'll get one. Unless you ask me nicely and pay me handsomely, of course :-).
I shall be discussing the ... ...The lasting quality that the Samsung SGH600 has is it's styling. No other phone (IMVHO) comes close. You can keep your flashy Nokia's with their personalisable ring tones, covers and flashy graphics. Give me the smooth styling of my silvery Samsung any day.
Any other advantages? Yes, of course there are. I love the flip activation - no need for fiddling about trying to find the answer button - simply flip open the case and you've answered the phone. ...

I bought the Samsung because it was a bit different, but I now believe that it is one of the best mobiles on the market. It's main advantage is that it is so user friendly. Voice dialing is one of the main attractions, but I would say that it is only 90% effective with the hands-free kit in, (which comes free). The other main advantage of the SGH 600 is that it is so small, possibly too easy to lose!! But nevertheless, this phone will catch the eye!! ...
Advantages: active flip Disadvantages: not as nice as the 2400

This my first mobile phone and i have owned this mobile for about 4 months now.
It has a lithium battery which doesn't need to be completely flat before being topped up, which is really useful if you have part-charge but need a bit extra.

I bought the Samsung SGH-600 about 6 months ago due to its small size and having the features I want, especially the vibrating battery which comes in handy whilst I'm in a meeting or in a noisy environment. The cost of the phone was a mere £20 on the Vodafone Leisure 250 network.
There are loads of other bonuses with this phone on top of what I've already mentioned. These include a battery that can be charged at any time (older style batteries should ... ...and probably the best feature of all is the hands free kit. This consists of a small button placed near the mouthpiece and is used for dialling people using the voice recognition system. Therefore whilst driving you doun't have to dial just press the button, say the name of the recipient and that's it!
This is a very good phone with few flaws. ...

Featurewise, it's a great phone for a great price....only £30 on the Vodafone Leisure 250 tariff. Features include voice dialing (works well), voice memo and a vibrating alert. The phone is lovely to look at - very smart in silver. The buttons take a bit of getting used to being very small. Battery life is pretty good. Ringtones are a bit tinny.
However, I have encountered a few niggling problems - the main fault being the phonebook failing to work ... ...I switched the phone on but would then always work if I switched it back off and on again. I tried cleaning the sim card but it made no difference at the time. It now seems to have sorted itself out and nearly always works.....which is a relief as I can't remember anybody's phone number these days.
The only other way I can fault this phone is that when using it without the handsfree it is too quiet and I can't hear the person at the other end very ...

I bought this phone when it had just come out. I was attracted to it because of its great features (vibration, voice dialing, small size) and its relatively low price.
After having used the phone for 1.5 years I must say it's still an attractive little device, it's been holding up pretty well and I'm satisfied with it - except for the fact that the antenna has been a source of problems ever since I got it. Not only is the reception below average ... ...3/5 reception where I can barely get 1/5), it has also worn out too quickly - on more than one occasion I have almost bent the antenna as a result of it coming out of its base on its own when the phone was in my pocket.
Also, you know the sound some speakers make when you come near them with your mobile phone? My phone keeps making that sound when I make a call, even when I'm not anywhere near electronic equipment, sometimes softly, barely noticable ...

...said they'd never buy a Samsung phone, as it wasn't Samsung's core competence. I can understand that view, but by being so blinkered they're missing out on a great phone. Small size and especially its thinness makes it a real winner, and whilst voice activation gets it wrong for me as often as it gets it right, I've had the phone for six months or so and never looked longingly at an Ericsson (which I used to have), Nokia or anything else. The silver ... ...tends to mean it goers stright into my pocket without a case, but I'm now treating mobiles as expendable on the basis that techology is changing so quickly and phones are so cheap. Additional nice point is that phone comes with included hands-free kit.
Downside? none really unless you must have a personalised ring tone. ...

A lovely looking phone (in silver!), which hasn't become too common. It's small and lightweight, has a fairly good battery life and standby time and is easy to use.
Disadvantages include the lack of accessories readliy available, the volume is too quiet - can't hear the caller very well, and when the battery is low it drains VERY quickly. Also I find the ringtones are a bit tinny.
But it has some great features for such a cheap phone, including ...

...of the text message and the SIM card out of SMS memory problem is to take your SIM card out, place it in a Nokia phone, delete the flashing text message, then replace the SIM card in your Samsung phone.
So, time to upgrade that phone? You decide... ...

This is my second mobile phone and I can't live without it. Its the most fully packed featured mobile around! With Voice Dialing, Voice Memo, Speed Dial, Comprehensive Call Records, Call Timers, Active Flap, Vibrating Alert, and a Lithium Ion Battery (best performing on the market available). The phone lasts for 2 days of average light usage or it can last you a full day of heavy use. The one touch vibrating alert is useful to keep yourself desecrate ... ...easy to read and the phone is very good overall with its size and weight. Anything smaller it wouldn't be a mobile phone! The truly hands free kit is supplied and it is the most useful. Used with Voice Dialing you can lave your phone in your pocket. The only disadvantage is the speaker volume, its a bit too quite to be used in a busy street, I found this in both of my SGH-600. This is MY very own phone and I love it. With it's voice activited extra, its little flipout cover, its luscious silver covering, its handy voice memo and its sweet little ring tones! It is my angel. The phone is my proudest possesion. Not only does it look great particularly in silky silver, but it also works really well. The discrete functions including vibrations mean I have been able to get away with answering calls at school. It is a class act and a phone for anyone who doesn't want the hassle of carrying around a brick!
Lots of functions, but still unavailable on One-2-One the phone is ideal for a first time buyer. Still one of the smallest ... ...which is a real bonus and can be a life saver. I have owned this phone for 18 months now and wouldn't trade it for the world.
