...as well as stunning designs. Samsung are the now ranked 4th in the world in Mobile phone Sales, just beating Siemens. Samsung saw a 174% increase in Sales this year compared to last, so the introduction of their GSM phones in the European Sector in 1998 plus the wacky sleek designs must be a bonus! ...is a pet-name for my Samsung A300E - mainly nick-named that was as its about as big as a cassette tape, if you cut a quarter of each of its sides off - that’s how tiny it is.
So why is it I love my dink, well its practical, easy to use, friends are jealous of me because of it and most importantly - dink has never gone down on me once (fnar! - first person to point out that that could be taken the wrong way will get slapped upside the head).
* The ... ...is because its a flip-phone, you don’t have to open your phone to see who’s calling - as there’s a second screen on the cover which will tell you exactly who’s on the phone (of course unless they 141’d you - then you’re stuck), so if you don’t want to talk to someone - you don’t *have* to answer the phone.
WAP - People used to say WAP was the next big thing, for those of you that don’t know what WAP means its Wireless Application Protocol - basically ...

Advantages: small, supplied with 2 batteries Disadvantages: short battery life
I have had my samsung A300 for nearly a year now and have been quite happy with it. The A300 has a lot of functions which include a Wap browsing function although much to the disgust of my children it has no games. One useful feature I did find though is the alarm clock, however you need to leave your phone switched on for it to work.
The A300 is a cute little phone, and comes supplied with 2 batteries one of which is a slimline battery, however ... ...find I have to charge the phone on a daily basis when I use it. The larger battery does last slightly longer although this is the only problem I have with this phone is that the battery does not appear to last as long as other phones. Maybe this is why its supplied with 2 batteries.
This phone is currently available from Orange as a freebie if you take out a 12 month contract or about £80-90 if you pay and go. It comes with a simple hands free ear ...

Advantages: Small, dual-screen so you can avoid people you don't want to talk to. Disadvantages: Titchy buttons, and poor battery life (at least with the slim battery)
...fairly straightforward review of the Samsung A300 phone turned before my very eyes into some sort of fiction drivel…I apologise, OK? Don’t keep going on!
The facts incorporated in the above piece of self-indulgence are essentially correct. The A300 is a fairly well loaded phone, with WAP browsing capabilities, for anyone who has the patience to bother. It has no games, and the alarm relies on the phone being left switched on (unlike say the Siemens ... ...even if they have been switched off).
It’s a pretty little phone, by which I mean that it is quite pretty, and it is also VERY small, especially with the skinny battery in place. It comes with a large and a skinny battery, but be warned, with the slimline job in place, you are more or less obliged to charge it every night if you are a moderate user of the phone. I can’t vouch for the longevity of the fat battery, as I have put it somewhere safe, ...

The surface of the battery is easily scratched and the the volume keys on the side of the phone could do with a lick of paint as the silver finish has worn away. ...and we settled on the Samsung A300. We were going to go for a pay-as-you-go type affair, but decided against it after seeing how much the handset was on this deal. I was very much taken with the appearance of the phone, so small and, let's face it, everyone likes that chrome effect. So, a contract it was...

Anyway, we took our little handsets home, pleased that we were the only ones to have these swanky, diminutive articles of modern technology. The major feature of this phone, is the dual screen. The blue luminous one at the front shows you when you've received a message or tells you who's calling you, so ...

...isn't the latest phone from Samsung anymore, they have come out with a new phone, which resembles this one, but has a few better features (I should think anyway, I haven?t done my research). The looks of the phone are good, very good. With it's dual screen feature it makes the phone look even better. With a lot of older flip style phones, you couldn't see who was ringing you, you just flipped it ope which answered the call. With this phone, you can ... ...Nokia have the calendar, but Samsung go one further and the phone includes a to do list, reminders and a calender. The to do list is useful, if you remember to look at it, and you can set a high and low priority on entries, but this is a bit misleading. All this does is put a H or L symbol next to your entry, no active alarm or anything, for this you would have to use the calender. But unfortunately that's where the perks kind of end. My old mobile (Nokia 3210 - wow I can remember when that was the latest phone!) was getting about old enough to be replaced so I started looking about at what there was on offer. I'm a massive Nokia fan as I think they are really easy to use and we all know that they have an enormous range of accessories, ring tones etc. So I was all ready to try for the 8310, a very nice looking phone indeed.
For some reason though (could it be the massive advertising ... ...phone, especially compared to the brick-like 3210 and very very stylish. Well, if you go for the Pay As You Go version it probably is. However if you go for the pay monthly deal you can get some massive discounts on the handset. In fact the lovely people at One ...
