What is there to 'C' with this mobile phone?

AdvantagesCheap, good battery life, cheap, reasonable reception, did I mention cheap?

DisadvantagesTexting is a nightmare at times, there are a few design flaws to contend with

"...cheap little thing called the Samsung C300. I paid a measly £20 for it from Argos because of my deliberations over a contract so I just wanted a cheap pay as you go mobile to tie me over until I made (or make) that decision. I’m with Virgin Mobile (hehe funny name) and, although this particular phone is no longer available on their website you could purchase the Samsung C300 for as little as £12.99. I feel like I’ve been robbed! WHO ARE SAMSUNG ..." Read review

C300 - What's it all about? Review with images

AdvantagesCheap, sleek

DisadvantagesNo good features

"My current phone recently started to crash and break down after five minutes of being switched on. I began to panic as Im going on holiday this week and I needed a phone that worked, in case of emergencies. I didn't want to spend loads on a phone as I am getting a new one through installments at the end of the months, and it wouldn't be here in time if I ordered it just now. I rushed round the shops looking for the cheapest, practical phone I could ..." Read review

Keep it sweet, keep it simple.

AdvantagesSimple, Trendy, Basic, good quality.

DisadvantagesNo hidden gems, very basic.

"...is what she got…….The Black Samsung C300. The Samsung C300 is a compact mobile phone which comes with good quality features. But it is very basic… no camera, no video, no Bluetooth etc…. But it does what a phone is supposed to do, make and receive good quality phone calls while looking good. The Samsung C300 is also known as the Samsung SGH-C300 & is available in silver or black. I am talking about the black version which provides a matt & glossy ..." Read review

A good little phone for those not bothered by extras!

AdvantagesA good cheap little phone.

DisadvantagesNot many extras!!!

"Well I bought this phone a few months ago when the phone I had on contract got wet and broke, and my phone company wouldn't replace it until my new contract. So I thought I needed a cheap phone which would do for calling and texting, I went into the phone shop and this little cutie popped up. It was only £9.99 which isn't bad seeing as the prices of phones go up to around £200. And the phone was only to tide me over for a couple of months (until June!) ..." Read review

Samsung SGH-C300, Detailed Review

AdvantagesCheap, good-looking, functional, lovely slide mechanism

DisadvantagesCustomisation is limited, settings can be fiddly, no dictionary for predictive texts

"I got this phone as a replacement for a Sony Ericsson K310i on which the joystick had failed, and overall I have to say I'm fairly impressed. It's a very simple model with few bells and whistles that exists mainly to do its primary jobs of calling and texting (except for standard organiser, alarm, voice memo and currency convertor features). Calling is no problem, with the slide mechanism a joy to use as a method of answering incoming calls ..." Read review

Problems with texts

AdvantagesLooks, feel & price

DisadvantagesTexts

"Looks nice, feels nice and it's cheap. I just wanted the basics, and for phone calls this phone is great. But I consider text to be a basic too, and texting on the C300 has problems. 1. It has the T9 predictive text dictionary, which is good. But you can't add your own words to it. Well, you can try, but it forgets them after a few texts. It will even forget certain words during the same text. 2. It interrupts your typing every 150 letters to ..." Read review

finally, a phone that is simply, a phone.

Advantageslooks good, easy and comfortable to use, reliable

Disadvantagesno flashy features

"The Samsung C300 is pretty basic, it doesn't have blue tooth, mp3 or infact even a camera, but I have found it to be very practical and reliable. It's a nice shape and it comes in black, silver or a pretty red-pink colour, and it's a nice shape and size in your hand. It's very easy to use - I never even opened the instructions, and there are no annoying complications that you get with flashier phones, it's all very straightforward. In my experience ..." Good price for the quality

Advantagesstrong and robust

Disadvantagesthe look is not very trendy but ok for me

"I was a bit short when I made my choice then I am quite happy with it as it totally worth the money and the more I look the more I like it. The menu it bright and colorful and would suit someone who only needs a phone to text and phone people on.Maybe kids or older people. So that handed. Its not to heavy, has speaker phone which i love. Its design very nicely and comes in three different colours pink, sliver and black. I brought black very sleek ..." Read review

Quick review of Samsung SGH C300

"Good looking phone, ease of use but found it to be a bit bulky, also the keys for texting are quite small. Screen scratches easily so I would suggest purchasing a decent cover. Good battery life...

Quick review of Samsung SGH C300

"...useful. Software Sony Ericsson PC Suite on the CD allows you to synchronize phone with your computer, create backups and transfer files. The file transfer can however be also used in simple USB mass storage device mode, where the speed is amazing - 6 to 8MB per second!! That allows you to transfer your music library into the phone quite quickly, especially since there's 8GB of flash memory to fill, plus 160MB phone/media memory.

Quick review of Samsung SGH C300

"I recently bought this piece for my wife back in Zimbabwe and she says she's been worried ever since because of the curious eyes on her phone. Its a simple phone that just has the style to attract observers. Its a neat little phone. Zis.
