Advantages Advantages amazing phone, has everything you could ever really want.

Disadvantages Disadvantages small memory, but that's easy to fix.

It was too long, but my original title was going to be: "phone, camera, mp3 player, games console, instant messager, internet browser, but no cofffee machine?" That says quite alot, it has retty much everything. It is only yesterday that I went out and bought this phone in blue, on tesco mobile. It cost me £69.97 from tesco, with £20 free credit, so for a phone it was very reasonably priced. It is fair to say that so far I have found very very few faults. For the price I was expecting a substandard sub-modern phone, but no, way way better than that!!! Looks... The phone is very slim, average ... more

Advantages Advantages Durable, long battery life

Disadvantages Disadvantages Few features, awful memory capacity, poor sound quality

Again, I write a review on an old product, but there is a reason for this. After going through many different phones, I have always needed one for the period between a phone breaking and me getting a new one. This is the one that I use. I have had this phone since a few months after its 2007 release and it is still working perfectly fine and the only thing that has changed since new is the many scratches it has. When the phone came out, it looked rather good. I was very excited to purchase mine but as I charged it for the first time and began using it, this excitement quickly came to an end ... more

Advantages Advantages cheap, cheerful, entertaining and sleek.

Disadvantages Disadvantages if it's locked to 02 many!

for the last 2 years Ive been using a smartphone spv c500, it's perfect for me as very often in my work I sit around in my car waiting for the rain to stop, the smartphone I have has a bookreader, a divx player and windows media player, it's fantastic... so whats this got to do with my new samsung j600?! It means it has a lot to live up to. how has it shaped up? Well firstly it was locked to 02 who I despise so £15 later it was unlocked, not a good start but you can buy them unlocked. The functionality of the phone takes a bit of getting used to especially if youre not used to a slider. the ... more

Advantages Advantages low price, easy to use, looks good

Disadvantages Disadvantages basic, slightly out-dated technology

The Samsung SGH-J600 was my first mobile phone, being affordable and simple. I’d better get it cleared up now – this isn’t a flashy gadget, boasting the latest technology. It can call, text, play ‘snake’ and take quick pictures when you’ve left your camera at home. It looks quite sleek, and is much smaller than the bulky hi-tech phones of the modern era. (I say modern, but the J600 itself has only been around for a few years.) This makes it easy to slip into a pocket. It hides the keypad with a ‘slide’ mechanism, which is easy to use and also has its benefits. For example, you can simply slide ... more

Advantages Advantages Great looking, good features, robust and user friendly

Disadvantages Disadvantages Touch sensetitive buttons are a pain!

Good phone for the money. The camera is adequate for most needs and has a flash - as I always say if you want a decent camera then buy one, not a phone!! The Slide is a big clunky but I personally prefer this as it gives a more robust feel to it, i.e. not flimsy. Touch sensetitive pads are a bit irritating as the whole area becomes touch sensitive - not just the bits that light up, only slightly annoying as you control the menu options from the square button in the middle of the phone (on the front) and it's hard not to lean on the touch sensitive pad - no doubt this will take a bit of getting ... more

Advantages Advantages Everything great internet, games, bluetooth and much more

Disadvantages Disadvantages memory but it can be fixed

I brought this mobile phone recently as my old one had died on me. I went into my o2 shop and looked around. I just wanted a cheap mobile then I saw this phone. The price was resonable price it was priced at £59.99. I had been on o2 for a long time and they gave me money off so it was even cheaper which was great. You do have to pay for £10 airtime but the phone without discount was still a bargin! It had alot on it e.g. internet, mp3 player, camera and games. I thought that this was great it had four touch screen buttons which you have to get use to otherwise you can phone people while ... more

Advantages Advantages memory card slot, video capture, fm radio

    Disadvantages Disadvantages only tri band

Having had my Motorola phone for a while and an Alcatel before that, I was ready to get a new phone with a different manufacturer. I looked around for a phone for only a short while before being undecided between the Samsung J600 and the Samsung W810i. However, I was out shopping with my friends and saw the Samsung J600 in Woolworths for only £59.99. On a spur of the moment decision, I decided to buy the Samsung J600. It was the pink version, exclusive to O2. Getting home and opening the box was so exciting! The power button is on the left hand side along with the camera button. You do need to ... more

Advantages Advantages Excellent value for money phone, enough extras to keep most folk happy

Disadvantages Disadvantages Slightly dodgy touch sensitive keypad.

Unlike most folk half my age or younger, I only want a mobile phone that does what it's supposed to do - make calls, send the odd text message (particularly useful in my circumstances as my wife is nearly deaf and cannot use a normal phone). I don't really need the latest gizmos and bells and whistles that some mobiles come with. So, how does this Samsung measure up? To start with I was fairly impressed. I'd say 5 stars for value for money, as I got it for free on a Virgin contract at a tenner a month for 100 minutes / 100 texts - plenty enough for my needs. The music player is very good ... more

Advantages Advantages cheep simple and cheerful

Disadvantages Disadvantages lots, quite a let down

when i first bought this phone, i was really happy with its add-ons and its... well... everything. i got this phone on 02 and decided that it was my fav phone... 5 months down the line and my opinions had chaged. i started the see how sluggish the opperating system is and how limited it was with custom layouts and how you could not choose a message tone from your files nor could you have an alarm tone outside the standard ones... this i found very dissapointing... message memory is somewhere round 150... which can be used very quick cause it saves all messages you send.... all this, i could ... more

Advantages Advantages Great graphics, excellent music player.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Flimsy, ultra sensitive front buttons, hard to navigate menu.

I bought this phone a couple of days ago, and took it back today. I understand that many people like this phone, however while i agree it has many great features it is not the easiest phone in the world to use. It looks great, has some excellent programs (ie, music player) but there weren't many ringtones and message tones. The games on it were only 90 second demo's, you had to download the full games if you wanted them. It is easy to get lost in the menu (perhaps that's just because im used to my Nokia's) And the touch buttons on the front slide of the phone are ultra sensitive, to the point ... more
