Advantages: Great mp3 player
Disadvantages: not a very good mobile

...I have always stuck to samsung for my mobile phones as its a brand i trust. or at least i did till i got this phone. I use pay monthly so i get an upgrade every year and when i saw the tiny pink SGH-X830 i had to have it, it looked so different and stylish and colour screen too. ...old flip phone and the Samsung SGH-X830 sure fits the bill. Advantages: Amazing design and cool looks!
Disadvantages: Hard no navigate and easily broken.

...standard on all the new Samsung range, battery life is acceptable even when using the mp3 player, on average i use the mp3 function for 1.30 hours and talk for 15-30 mins and charge the phone every 3 days. The only downsides of the phone are a cheap fragile general feel to the phone, its also quite easy to damage and scratch, and a poor resolution screen. The samsung sgh-x830 is a cool looking phone. Firstly its small...very small (approx half as narrow and a little shorter than my motorola v3x). Not for those whom misplace things on a regular basis. Becuase of its size obviously the screens are going to be small but this is to be expected and although you can not see much of the photo on the screen, once you have put them on the computer you will see that samsung have squeezed as much quality ... I recently got this phone from a relative as she wasnt too keen on it, isn't a good start i know. She said the ring volume was too low, and kept missing calls so when she realised she had missed calls, she rung them back and of course - her phone bill rose quite abit. ...was a little far-fetched. The Samsung X830 is a great little phone don't get me wrong but you're just left feeling a little dissapointed by it. It's got a great MP3 player... yet very poor loudspeaker volume. It has massive built-in storage... yet a poor quality camera (1megapixel). I got a pink Samsung X830 for Christmas last year. I was really happy with is as it was what i had wanted. I opened the box and found, however, that there was a fault with it. The hold button on the side was permenantly held down, which meant i couldn't use most of the other buttons. I rang Orange, and they said they would get a new one to me as soon as possible. This is a great little phone, it doesn't try to be anything else like some other phones. It's basically just a tiny phone and mp3 player. And it's good at being that. Stylish and useful. It doesn't have a very good camera, and the screen is not the greatest but for the price, if I wanted to buy an mp3 player with 1gb memory, why not buy one with a built in phone. i received my Samsung X830 for christmas. i revecied the black version but it also comes in white i belive and pink (blush). This phone looks pretty similar to the ipod shuffle and is similar in ways too as it has a great mp3 facility, however the speakers are not particularly loud. however that is too be expected as the phone is rather on the small side. i would not suggest to people to buy this phone if they have a habit of misplacing things ...
