Samsung SGH Z500

I recently upgraded my Samsung D500 to the Samsung Z500. I liked the flip phone design and it had some elements I preferred to the D500. For instance, it displayed the signal strength and time on the external screen which is most useful. The phone fares quite well to damage, the black and silver do not scratch easily in pockets, although marks, scratches and fingerprints can all be seen clearly in bright sunlight. I have had my phone for about 6 months now, and I bought it secondhand from ebay for about £80 inc. postage etc. This was much cheaper than any of the shops, although I bid at the last minute to ensure I was the one who got it. I realised as soon as the phone arrived that I was very happy with it. It was black, so went with anything I wore, and was small so I could slip it into a pocket easily. It also had a massive memory! For example, the external screen displays the time, the signal strength and the battery status which can be very handy. The bluetooth on this phone is also top quality. Well, it came to the time where i needed a new phone (Long story, but the other one ended up in a large amount of pieces....don't ask!) I thought i would probably give a contract a go, and strated looking around the vodafone website, with a list of features i wanted. The z500 from samsung is a fantastic little phone that is packed full of features that you would not expect to find in such a small simple phone. ...on two different models. Samsung repaired it for free (it was in warranty and a manufacturer fault)- what happened was that after switching the phone on, the screen would freeze so that it would not respond to any buttons being pressed- be they for an emergency call or to switch the phone off. The only other problem I can think of with this handset is the collection of dust where the join for the 'flip' bit is, but you get that with all flip phones ...
...this phone (I've had it for nearly two years)- it's really easy to fit into a small pocket or bag, as well as having a relatively nifty camera which you can play around and have lots of fun with, being able to video call, and listen to music. This phone has been reliable, it looks good and isn't too fiddly as quite a lot of phones seem to be now. The predictive text has been excellent as it remembers which word is used most frequently for the given combination of characters and this definately cuts down on the time it takes to write a message.
