fast, quiet, cheap

no cables or software

This was purchased to replace another Samsung rewriter which was on its last legs (after 6 years of extremely good service), it arrived promptly enough although with no cables or software so its only recommended if you are replacing a drive you already have. It's easy enough to get the IDE, power...

Not for me

published 11/11/2008

I have this drive installed with a SuperMicro P8SCT motherboard and found it to be incompatible used with Windows XP. The operating system installed but afterward would only read directories and small files but could not read the entire disc. I suspect a problem with the speed of the drive not being detected correctly.

We can make Data CD, Data DVD, MP3 CD, MP3 DVD, Audio CD, Audio DVD with the help of Nero Premium software and other writing software. As for me, it is a best product with the high speed recording capacity and the drivers also available with the product which is very useful. Compare to other product in the market i feel Super-Write Master SH-S202J is the best when comparing the prices, functionality, speed, brand etc..,

Question

Does this player support cd text Cd titles names do not appear when cd is written
Open question Answer

Answer

published 03/01/2010

CD Titles are not written onto the disks as such. When an Audio CD is burned, it is just tracks- for universal reading. For CD title names to appear, it needs to be a proper album, so that the media player (iTunes, Windows Media Player) can find the information online, if not it needs to be entered manually.
