...any deoderant near it. Fortunately Samsung have wisely provided you with a cleaning cloth, so thats alright. The third thing is that it just looks so good switched off. It sits there on your desk vey discreetly, even though its quite large. It doesn't dominate a room like some televisions and it seems to enhance the look of everything around it. It's as much a style object as an expensive coffee table.
Now the switch on. I use the DVI port, so I ... ...ownership. Only clean with the Samsung cloth or a cleaning cloth for a pair of glasses. This minimizes scratching. Secondly, keep the box. How do you go about transporting something like this if you don't have it? Finally, do not use screen wipes on it. Just a slightly damp, clean cloth will do, but don't press too hard. And keep the apple away from the monitor.
To sum up, yes its expensive, yes it is a luxury, and after all, It is a monitor doing ...

I only bought my first 226BW a few days ago, and I was impressed with it but I thought it would be a bit nicer to have dual 22 inch screens, so I went and bought another.
The picture output of the large TFT monitor is wonderful, and even though I've never really been keen on the 16:10 (wide) aspect ratio, I do rather enjoy the image on these monitors, as I am doing now (at the amazing 1680x1050 resolution I may add).
Now, I got them for £250 each ... ...of picture and general niceness justifies this.
A report from a friend however, mocking me about this, told me he saw one in Planet Micro for £220, so maybe you can get them cheaper - take a look around before you buy is my advice.
I gave the customer services a call to find out some things that I probably could have found in the manual. I asked what the maximum brightness was, and the woman on the other end told me 300cd/m2 (and knew what it meant!). ...

Advantages: Great display, amazing colours and fairly decent price. Disadvantages: The stand for the monitor isn't fantastic, but it does the job.
...As always I think Samsung continue to manufacture some of the best displays that are out there and this screen is no exception. It has an amazingly fast 2ms response time which means no ghosting or anything you might get with other LCD displays.

Advantages: Good spec and looks great. Toll free technical support! Disadvantages: few, stand is not height adjustable but this is relatively minor.
...An attractive bonus is that Samsung supplies an industry-standard three-year parts-and-labor warranty, which also covers the backlight. Toll-free tech support is also available for the life of the display. One design flaw is the screens stand, this can be adjusted to tilit or swivel but isn't height-adjustable.
The 226BW has both analog D-sub and Digital Visual Interface (DVI) ports. The DVI input supports High-Bandwidth Digital Content Protection ... ...the monitor with Windows Vista. Samsung includes both analog/D-sub and DVI cables with the monitor.

I really like this monitor. Its from a good reliable comapany ( Samsuny) . It is very clear and very precise. It is also a fast monitor with 2ms response time . The size it also good 22" is more than enough for running games etc. and some of the modern programs. The quality of the monitor is good and its very durable so far i have had no problems what so ever and its still working 100% There is a good warranty which you would expect from samsung. ...

...2ms, 22" - thats why Samsung SyncMaster 226BW is so good. I bought this monitor as christmas present for myself and I'm happy that i havn't selected other monitor... It have high resoliution (1680x1050) so its good choice for peoples who like play games and watch films or working with pictures and 3D. If you need it just for write text or surf internet then buy another monitor , because this monitor is for peoples who want to use it in all ways and ...
