Advantages: Picture quality on HDTV is impressive; high connectivity for the price; aesthetically flawless. Disadvantages: Future-proof issues with 1xHDMI; consistency issues with connections; black light bleed; sound quite poor.
I bought this Samsung t.v. in December 2007 from Argos for £249.99, a special offer of £50 below the R.R.P. at that time.
Initial impressions were positive - high connectivity (PC, Scart, Component, HDMI, standard analogue), and it's fairly slim, fairly light, and very pretty to look at out of the box. The remote is solid, like the t.v., and covers all functions well, being a good job given that the t.v. is seemingly not supported by Sky yet (I ... ...working). The possible drawback is that some functions have smaller buttons than others (the teletext buttons most prominently afflicted); a slight sponginess elsewhere is to be noted. There have been a number of problems though, and quite a high proportion may be due to the model as a whole, not just my individual t.v. The most basic structural problem has been the bevel at the bottom of the t.v. not turning (the t.v. is fixed, and the whole unit ...

Advantages: Crisp, and clear screen, Very bright and detailed Disadvantages: None I can think of.
I've been using this monitor now for about three weeks, and I must say it is a good buy. Ive read reviews complaining that the stand is to small and the screen would shake when the desk was knocked. Well does someone stand thier and shake your desk while your on your computer? Thought not. So this is no big deal. Yes the speakers lack any real bass, but can someone show me a monitor that had any real bass? I've never came across one. There is slight ...

Bought this tv about 4 months ago from argos for £299 upon opening the box i was very impressed with the design (very slick indeed). The on off button is touch sensitive (nice touch, excuse pun). The tv boasts quite a few inputs. A vga input, scart input composite connections, HDMI connection (but no lead).
The box contained a nice looking remote, c.d drivers, mains cable, vga cable for hooking up to your pc or laptop and audio cable. Setting up ... ...and can't fault it. The only let down for me (well its not really a let down just me being an acoustic a@$s) is the sound its a bit thin, but i'll put that down to the room that its in i.e a wood flooring and plastered walls also bear in mind Lcd tvs are thin so you can't expect room shaking sounds.
To overcome this minuscule problem i have linked it to a home theater system and it sounds great.
Next connected the vga cable into the tv and laptop ...

Quick review of Samsung Syncmaster 225MW
I bought this TV in autumn 2007 and until about March 2008 was very impressed. Since, however, the sound has steadily deteriorated to the point that I had to buy a speaker system to be able to continue to hear it from more than five feet away. And of course I only realised it was probably the TV shortly after the one year warranty expired. I would be wary about choosing this model again. ...

I own 2 of these screens/tv's, Working in the events industry and working with technology on a daily basis I can honestly say that for what it is the syncmaster 225md is in my opinion the best screen of its size on the market for the general consumer.
Not only does this screen carry the full range of inputs (more than most of us would ever need to use) but the outside appearance is also stunning, nice, shiny and sleek looking and we have not even ... ...built in freeview tuner is always a bonus whatever your intended use for the screen and the choice of dvi/vga for computer input is nice too, I predominantly use one of these as my second monitor for 3d graphic visualization, the image is incredibly sharp, very clear and the contrast is excellent.
I would recommend this screen to my Mum I think its that good. ...

...research into brands and rated Samsung as one of the best. This one scores high due to look and performance.
Makes an excellent PC monitor - a large and luxurious feel to it and big enough for a family television.

Advantages: Excellent display, response time Disadvantages: Limited input options
The Samsung 22" monitor is a beautiful display for the price. The image is rich and clear, and more screen real estate than you'd ever need for daily computer usage (a good thing). That and the quick 5ms response time makes it perfect for games, especially shooters. I had previously been using a dual monitor setup with two 17" CRTs but this monitor by itself easily replaces both of them.
There's only one problem--just be careful when you move the ... ...up, you can't really grip the monitor anywhere without awkwardly supporting the base with your other hand. The first time I lifted it by the neck alone, the locking pin slipped out and I thought the thing was gonna snap. It's a minor problem though, and once you set it up on your desk you have a great display that will make your friends jealous. ...
