Handy little flash drive

Advantages: nice, damage-proof, user-friendly, not bad price
Disadvantages: with little more you can buy a much bigger one

...even heard of this brand SanDisk but it has become very very popular lately and I have to say, of all the products I bought that were made by this brand none of them has yet failed me. This flash drive is no exception. It's small in size covered by a rubber thin see-through case and equipped with a loop wide enough to fit through a necklace chain, the rubber cover can be removed but I suggest you to leave it on because it protects the drive from ...
...very Windows-friendly and is imediately recognized both by Vista and XP without the need of driver installation or software of any kind. It can be safely removed just as easily. A warm green light goes on and off like a christmas decoration when it is plugged in (it's very relaxing to look at or to have in the background), and it blinks faster when the drive is in use. ==FEATURES SUMMARY== Some of its features can be here summarized: * USB 2.0 (backward ...

Cruzing to success

Advantages: U3 system, LED light
Disadvantages: Not big enough capacity

Having had a USB drive for about 6 years and them constantly breaking or literally falling apart i though it was time to switch to a different make from the range of Bytestor drives i have used. My first drive cost me £25 for a megre 128MB but with the cheap range now available, i was able to pick up this 1GB drive for under £15. As for the design there is no removable lid (which i normally manage to break) but instead the USB connector is stored ...
...the white opener (centre of picture). This makes the whole drive feel much more solid and there is less chance of it breaking. The only problem with it though is that it collects dust easier but thats not a really big problem. As with all new drives they are USB 2.0 which means that transfer is quick and effiecient. That is it about everything for the technical detail but the thing that separates it with all my past drives and others i have seen ...

A neat little thing but not too secure

Advantages: Big storage and small
Disadvantages: potential loss of "secure" data.

...MB and 2 GB. Sandisk supplies this USB 2.0 High-Speed Flash with a strap and 2 different colourful covers. It's about 5 cm in length and about 1 cm high which makes it very small considering its storage space. Unfortunately, it makes it also easy to lose or to forget even with the strap attached. There are several extras supplied with it: - CruzerLock 2 for so-called data security - Trial version of PocketCache (back-up)- 7 days - Trial version ...
...days Whereas I never used the two trial versions, the reason being they are trial versions and just sit around on my PC taking up space and memory. From what I gather you can synchronise your personal settings and files from Outlook/IE/Photos... with other PCs you happen to be using. The CruzerLock feature is rather good in that it provides a facility to hide/securely store data on a secured area. It comes password-protected so can be termed secure ...

OK drive, but weak keyring hook.

Advantages: Very small, cheap (at time of purchase)
Disadvantages: Weak keyring hook design, not as fast as other drives

...one. I saw the Sandisk Cruzer Micro at under £13 delivered for an OEM version and decided to buy it, Sandisk are a reputable brand and the drive looked pretty small. Appearance -------------------- When it arrived, it came in a brown jiffy bag with just the clear plastic cover, which is no big deal because I hardly ever read instructions or install software, and the lack of packaging means it's kinder to the environment :D The actual drive is ...
...out of metal (with the rubber cover protecting it) and it has a plastic keyring hook on the end. Performance -------------------- When plugged into my Apple PowerBook, it was detected immediately and the green light on the end lit up. It flashes to indicate data transfer. I decided to try some performance tests by copying a folder, 100mb in size containing 8.4 megapixel photographs to the drive and back again. This was on my G4 1.33GHz laptop ...

Ideal for most needs of the users - and Cheap too!

Advantages: Small, Stylish, Quite Robust
Disadvantages: Might get lost easily

...to get it!! The SanDisk Cruzer Micro is the usual hot swappable device (can be changed whilst the computer is on) and is accessed using a usb slot on you computer. It runs on a USB 2.0 which means it is the newer version of USB meaning transfer speeds are quicker, yet it is also backwards compatible. There is not much you have to say about this, it does exactly what it says on the tin!!! it stores information from documents, music and all other ...
...remarkable because i use it all the time- However i did almost lose it becuase its so light you cannot feel it (is that a design problem .... i dunno!!) Overall it is great value for money and allows you to do what you want with a Flash drive - transfer data easily, quickly, effectively and safely without having to carry lots of documents or CDs/DVDs PS i have said that the manufacturer support and instruction manual are excellent however to be ...

Very good for day-to-day use

Advantages: small, good capacity
Disadvantages: None really

I bought this usb storage device about 8 months ago and now i always carry it whereever i go. It was very easy to start using and as soon as i plug it into any comuter it is instantly recognised. Then as soon as you select it under 'My computer' you are able to view the file you have stored on it. After the initial set-up it has continued to perform and is very reliable. I don't think that it has ever not been recognised by a computer and it never ...
...- capacity, its great. At 1 gig it can store in excess of 250 songs and almost double the amount of photos. However i use my stick primarily for documents which i need to have with me at all times and for that it is perfect. I would definitely reccommend one of these and i would estimate that the price must have come down to well under £15 by now ...

What a gem!

Advantages: Does what you would want it to plus a bit more
Disadvantages: The packaging is so hard to open without anything sharp!

-Good price -Good speed -Good size -Good extras I used to use a zip disk and then my department updated their computers and got rid of the zip drives. Then I saw this for sale at £30 and jumped right at it. Turns out it is an absolute gem. Its smaller than a pack of chewing gum and at 1GB holds just about anything I need to put on it for academic use. You may think that 1GB is a lot but it makes it useful for lots of other things. Its very helpful ...
...2.0 it can be accessed quick enough to run programs off. For instance I have acrobat reader on it so I don't have to keep downloading it. It may be small enough to lose but it does come with a neck strap which solves this problem. It also has a label on it, which you can use to write your address or phone number on if you really are paranoid about losing it! It comes with 3 colours of cover and some extra trial software which I wasn't expecting. ...
