Advantages: Widescreen, 3D Nicam stereo, well designed, price Disadvantages: Sound quality could be better
...a good deal. The Sanyo TV set replaced a Philips Nicam stereo model which cost £379 six or seven years ago. A comparative Philips model now costs just £154 – quite an incredible reduction all things considered.
The television was delivered within three days of ordering from Empire Direct. Unpacking and setup took about 20 minutes and much of that time was spent manhandling the television and placing in the right viewing position. Weighing in at ... ...square box format. The Sanyo scores well and I couldn’t really see any problems: picture quality at 50 mhz was crystal clear – though it also helps if you’ve re-checked your outside aerial for best signal reception and avoid disappointment.
Via the on-screen menu you can, of course, change colour, brightness, contrast and sharpness if you need to. There’s also a button which has four pre-selected choices depending on viewing conditions, i.e. daylight, ...

Advantages: Stylish, good picture, price Disadvantages: sound quality
...to sound good.
The Sanyo came at the right price (though a stand was an extra £40) and, to my mind at least, looks very smart. It is not a flat screen, but it looks like one and only close up examination reveals that it is not. The way the television fits together with the stand is very pleasing visually and not difficult physically. I had to assemble the stand myself but it was easy and everything fitted where it should easily.
Initial set up ... ...was sorting out the various power cables, scart leads and co-ax for the TV, video and freeview box, lots of checking backwards and forwards between the back of the kit and the instruction books! Joking apart, this was tricky by virtue of the fact that, as appears to commonly be the case with large TVs, the stand is immovable once the TV is in situ and getting around behind it to do all the connections is not easy unless you are a small child. Come ...

Advantages: Easy to Use Disadvantages: Extremely Heavy
I have been through so many different television sets over my time and hadn't really considered buying a widescreen TV until recently. I logged onto curry's website and they had a web only offer. I ordered it and the TV came within 2 weeks. It was easy to set up with all the points on the back of the TV clearly marked. I have Sky and to install Sky was as easy as making toast! I installed all the necessary wires and let the TV do it's thing. It managed ... ...numbers automatically which was extremely handy.
The TV set has a number of features including the "surround sound" which really did make a difference when listening to the music channels.
The TV has a good feature of turning it's self off and on when you want it too. I find it a nightmare to get up in the morning and to time the TV to come on in 6hrs is brilliant!
I found the TV viewing features good especially for those people who refuse to ...

Advantages: good TV nothing bad about it really Disadvantages: not enough SCART ports to go around
I've had one of these for a long while and frankly..it's brilliant, i've had no problems, it's good size...no fancy madiggy feature that you never use...just the bare needs and no frills, works with all forms of media...form DVD to games consoles..and still works with the good old VHS...great value for what is.
Over all i'd reccomend it to anyone thinking of buying a good big screen TV...and if your on a budget then this is great for that.
Best ... ...got mine from dixons so i'd say with those guys
Of course with most good things...there are bad...there are only 2 SCART leads (scart leads are the large rectanglular slots i the back of a modern TV) and for most 2 isn't enough, with DVD...games consoles, freeveiw boxes and there are some VHS floating around..we need more slots...of course you can buy double SCART adapters for it but they cost a few bob.
I'd still reccomend this TV to anyone, great ...
