Disadvantages: Coarse Material out of date

...If they are formerly , Scheidegger I won't be going ahead with them now. I had a bad experience with Scheidegger about a year and half ago. I enrolled on a Web Design Managers coarse, the "Advisor" gave a sales pitch stating that you get a personal tutor with a team of 5 back up tutors, this was not the case, it took a few times to actually get through on the phone and it came across as a call center as opposed to a teaching section. I recently signed with Skillstrain and subsequently realised I was told many lies and half truths. I was incorrectly lead to beleive I would be sponsored and after a 3 hour interview I miraculously 'passed' their aptitude test and was 'offered a place on the course'. It seems I was only just 'lucky' to get in. I can't begin to tell you what was said but among the lies was that only people over 35, that there was 5 local tutors and that Skillstrain ... I wasn't impressed by the Scheidegger course I did (Information Technology). A lot of it I already knew, and the stuff that I didn't know, I found it difficult to get help with when I needed it. There was pathetically little hands-on computer work, but worst of all, since finishing the course, I've found that no-one has heard of Scheidegger and my "qualification" is not worth the paper it's printed on. Sales pitch all the way. A lady turned up in a very nice looking Mercedes, well dressed and very professional looking. I won't go into too much detail but she sat for over an hour doing my heading. Despite me knowing exactly what I want to do, how I want to do it, what/who/where I want to get a job after the training and despite the training I require only costing roughly £500 she insisted that I couldn't just take up the one training course.... I find that I have got behind in my studies due to my tutor often taking too long to send my previous assignment back to me.. I was hoping to find some where i could claim my money back, because my course i took was a waste of time. i did not realise they were giving me a loan to pay back because the guy who visited my house stayed so long that my brain was frazzled. at the time i was being made redundant and was very vulnerable. Disadvantages: poor customer support and general lack of intrest once they have your money

Ive had similar problems with Computeach,,,simple things like asking for new folders,as the old one containing my course notes broke when I got home,,,asked for a new one,,,,,no answer. The in day training was ok in parts,but more joke making and talking gaming. None on my course were given student numbers,so couldn`t discuss the course on line with each other as promised. ...company is closely linked to Scheidegger so you become locked into the course and are unable to quit without paying the full fees. Pretty sneaky way of getting money think. Anyway I signed up when perhaps I should have reconsidered. The course material is presented in spring back binders and has tuition and assignments on CD. It all looks very polished and professional. ...had contacted Skillstrain about the Scheidegger course and when I got the curiculum list I was impressed, It covered ten times more than my intended HNC course and I soon realised that if i had completed the HNC i would still have needed to go on to university. I did find the cost to be fairly high, but the learning materials and support has been exceptional and is regularly updated both in the form of replacement coursework and online additions. ...
