Scott's Porage Oats. Not a spelling mistake. It's how it's spelt on the packet. However you spell it, at one time Scott's were THE porage oats to buy. It seemed to be the only rolled oats available in the shops, until the supermarkets gave everyone a wider choice. I recently bought some porage as i used to eat it all the time as a kid and always enjoyed it. So trying to be a good mum i thought i would introduce it into my children's diet. I love porage and Scott's porage oats has been a good breakfast staple for years. It takes a little time to prepare, with the cooking about 10 minutes. At the low price of £1.25 per kilo I think it's good value and a box will last my husband and I about 2 to 3 weeks. I lot of people put milk or cream into their porage. ...there is no-one better than scotts they have been manufacturing porridge for over a century and the quality is as excellent as it was then.the only problem is is the spelling porridge is spelt porridge not porage but apart from that a trully excellent dish for breakfast and snacks. ... Disadvantages: That blo***y awful "easy pour" packet

The so called easy pour packet which has been introduced should be confined to the bin AT ONCE. It only serves to demolish the sides of the packet so that the contents do not pour but spread all over the place. I have had to resort to putting the contents of a new packet into a plastic container. It seems that the makers of this, otherwise excellent product cannot be contacted by E-mail otherwise I should have done so. Perhaps somebody can tell ... Read review
