Seabrook crisps, yummy and tasty!

AdvantagesTasty, delicious crunchy crisps! :)

DisadvantagesOnly available in the North of England!!

"== Seabrook Crinkle Cut Crisps == == Introduction == If you don’t live in the North of England you may not have heard of these crisps, been a Northern company, and been primarily sold in the North of England, they are much more popular here than down South. Seabrook was founded in 1949 in the small Northern town of Allerton, Bradford, by a man called Charles Brookes. The origin of the name Seabrook is quite interesting, and apparently came ..." Walkers Watch Out - There's Competition About!

AdvantagesVery tasty

DisadvantagesLots of Salt and Flavourings

"...are produced and marketed by Seabrook Potato Crisps Ltd who are based in Bradford in the UK. The emergence of this company into the snacks market is a success story in itself with year on year increases in sales for over a decade. The original Seabrook Crisps factory was founded in 1949 in Allerton, Bradford. The Company expanded locally during 1979/80, and a second factory was built at Princeville, which is less than two miles from Allerton and ..." Read review

The day I "rediscovered" Seabrooks Crisps ! Review with images

AdvantagesWonderful crisps ... the perfect blend of texture and flavour.

DisadvantagesAll those other crisps that steal the limelight !!!

"=== I have recently rediscovered Seabrooks Crisps !!! === Whilst out on a luchtime mission to the shop I found myself n a quaint "corner shop" where the only crisps that were sold were Seabrooks ! I bought a pack ... Prawn Cocktail. Now, I could tell you all about Seabrooks and how they have been making crisps in their Bradford factory since 1945 ... but I'm not going to ! I could maybe tell you that Seabrooks crips contain no GSM or ..." Read review

Tasty Crinkles

Advantagesgood flavour range, good price

Disadvantages-

"...don't think I'd ever had Seabrook crisps, but once I found them I really started to like them. I don't see them sold everywhere, but I do always see them in Asda. In 1939, a man called Mr C. Brook was going to open his own fish and chip shop, however when the signage for his shop came back they had made a critical spelling error which made his name Seabrook. He embraced the idea rather than disliking it and then he and his son came across the idea ..." Read review

Crispolicious!!!!

AdvantagesGreat Flavours, Consistant Quality, Value for Money

DisadvantagesLimited availability

"... There is no need for Seabrook to follow the trend of re-naming crisps to fit cafe culture, no Balsamic Vinegar and Sea Salt to be found in this range - you get traditional snack flavours that will match any occasion, Pickled Onion, Tomato Sauce, Indian Tandoori etc etc.. Purchased today for the cost of 25 new pence, this potato crisp made with sea salt is without equal in both value for money and also satisfaction. They are available in multi-packs, ..." Read review

Seabrook so many flavours and so good!

AdvantagesBrilliant fresh tasting crisps

Disadvantagesnone

"I discovered these crisps about five years ago and when I picked up a packet for the first time I thought they were going to be a cheap average packet of crisps. How wrong could I be, I love them, they are brilliant and I haven’t tried all the flavours yet. They are different from other crisps for a number of different reasons: 1. The packaging seems to be quite basic, mostly in white. Unlike other crisps they have avoided moving to foil packs. ..." Read review

Seabrook Crisps - Mmm... nice.

AdvantagesIf ready salted are the daddy of crisps, Seabrook are the daddy of ready salted.

DisadvantagesNope, none. They are good.

"...the fact we had no Seabrook left, settling for Waitrose, stuck some music on, cracked my knuckles (isn't that the most annoying thing?) and started once again. Sorry if you are bored, this is a crisps opinion, but I felt I had to get it out of my system. If you have never heard of Seabrook crisps, you should pop down to your local supermarket (or two, if they don't stock it) and grab a packet (most likely to be a multipack, but don't worry, you ..." Seabrooke Ready Salted Crisps, Tasty-Tastic!

Advantagesvery. very. very nice flavoured

Disadvantagesfattening. but what type of crisps arn't?

"Seabrook crisps, you may not of heard of them before. Inside the packet lies the most appetizing, yummiest and tasty-tastic crisps ever (other than kettle chips perhaps, mmm…. Kettle chips.) Seabrook crisps are a true, shining beacon in the otherwise hazardous seas of crisp consumption. Many other brands of crisp say that they are the best brand using ‘fresh picked potatoes’ and ‘sealed in a foil packet!’ well, Seabrook use non of these gimmicks, ..." Read review

Seabrook Crinkle Cut Crisps? Nice!

AdvantagesVery tasty

DisadvantagesNone

"Seabrook Crinkle Cut Cream Cheese & Chives Potato Crisps are the flavour I tried. The firm has been cooking crisps since 1945 and have obviously learnt a thing or two in all those years! Seabrooks only use sunflower oil to cook their products and they also use sea salt, which is becoming more common amongst some of the main players in the world of high end crisp manufacturers. And yet, here was Bradford-based Seabrook Crisps stealing a march on all ..." Read review

see crisps eat crisps seabrooks

Advantagesthe best crisps in the world

Disadvantagesnot easy to find in shops

"Seabrooks are crinkle cut crisps lathered in sea salt and available in 18 different flavours.More like McCoys in depth and size than walkers, after a pack of these you know you have had a bag of crisps. Prone to break up into smaller pieces, probably due to the oil used in the cooking process.Very salty, not a crisp crisp like kettle chips but your less likely to cut you mouth eating these than you would with kettle chips. Some flavours like tomato ..." "Well that time has come, its the break between big brother eviction and interview, the wine has gone and the boredom munchies have arrived and only one thing will hit the spot...seabrooks salt and vinegar crisps! These crisps are quite unlike any other, they are so tasty! For crunchiness they score 10/10, for crinkliness they score 10/10, for taste they score 10/10. I cannot fault these crisps at all! They come in a variety of different flavours, ..." Read review

Britains tastist crisp?

AdvantagesLight and satisfying

Disadvantagesnone

"...that although i regularly prchase Seabrook crisp, i rarely buy any of the flavours just original. I first started to buy them around 10 years ago when i was on a diet. They were lower in Saturated fat than average crisp and tasty to boot. The average pack can cost anything from 30/45p depending on where you make your purchase. They come in many different flavours and some of them i find delicious, some too overpowering, for example the Beef flavour ..." Read review

Seabrook - Cream Chesse or just cheese & Onion

AdvantagesStill strong & tasty

Disadvantages1 bags not enough!

"...anyone noticed the change in Seabrook crisps – The Cheese and Onion flavours? I love Seabrook and to be honest I prefer them to Walkers cheese and onion any day, however on my recent purchase of the 6 pack – Have they changed the flavour!!!! The cheese and onion crisp now taste creamier as if its cream cheese and onion or chives, there’s less salt content too. I am not disputing anything but I preferred the original tasting crisp. They are still ..." Read review
