Advantages Advantages Tasty, delicious crunchy crisps! :)

Disadvantages Disadvantages Only available in the North of England!!

Seabrook Crinkle Cut Crisps Introduction If you don’t live in the North of England you may not have heard of these crisps, been a Northern company, and been primarily sold in the North of England, they are much more popular here than down South. Seabrook was founded in 1949 in the small Northern town of Allerton, Bradford, by a man called Charles Brookes. The origin of the name Seabrook is quite interesting, and apparently came from an error in a photo processing shop when an employee instead of writing C. Brookes on the film, instead accidentally wrote Seabrook, and the name stuck becoming ... more

    Advantages Advantages Very tasty

Disadvantages Disadvantages Lots of Salt and Flavourings

Think of crisps and the name Walkers will probably spring to mind. These days however there are many cheaper alternatives on the shelves. I have tried some of these including supermarket's own brands but I have always gone back to walkers. However recently I have discovered Seabrook's potato crisps, and this time for me, there may be no going back. Each bag of Seabrook's crisps bears the slogan "Britain's tastiest crisps" which let's be honest is a pretty bold statement to make, but before you dismiss the possibility that this just might be true, why not give them the benefit of the doubt. The ... more

5 Stars The day I "rediscovered" Seabrooks Crisps ! Review with images 19/10/2010

Advantages Advantages Wonderful crisps ... the perfect blend of texture and flavour.

Disadvantages Disadvantages All those other crisps that steal the limelight !!!

I have recently rediscovered Seabrooks Crisps !!! Whilst out on a luchtime mission to the shop I found myself n a quaint "corner shop" where the only crisps that were sold were Seabrooks ! I bought a pack ... Prawn Cocktail. Now, I could tell you all about Seabrooks and how they have been making crisps in their Bradford factory since 1945 ... but I'm not going to ! I could maybe tell you that Seabrooks crips contain no GSM or MSG as they use only the finest ingredients such as sunflower oil and sea salt ... but that's all a little too technical for someone who has only recently started ... more

Advantages Advantages good flavour range, good price

    Disadvantages Disadvantages -

I love Walkers crisps, but sometimes I just want something a bit different. Until I moved to England, I don't think I'd ever had Seabrook crisps, but once I found them I really started to like them. I don't see them sold everywhere, but I do always see them in Asda. In 1939, a man called Mr C. Brook was going to open his own fish and chip shop, however when the signage for his shop came back they had made a critical spelling error which made his name Seabrook. He embraced the idea rather than disliking it and then he and his son came across the idea of doing this as a crisp company. Ever since ... more

Advantages Advantages Great Flavours, Consistant Quality, Value for Money

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Limited availability

You know how it is.... you pop to the corner shop for a savoury treat, scan the shelves, and everything looks so familiar!! Walkers, Hula Hoops, Monster Munch, Space Raiders etc etc.... You've had them many times before and know what to expect. In some ways this can lead to snack apathy. There is a cure... Seabrook's!! The premier potato based savoury snack available in the UK. The glimpse of the crisps through the small viewing window of the well designed packet only gives a foretaste of what is to come. The weighty feel of the full packet gives confidence in a wise choice that will satisfy ... more

Advantages Advantages Brilliant fresh tasting crisps

    Disadvantages Disadvantages none

I discovered these crisps about five years ago and when I picked up a packet for the first time I thought they were going to be a cheap average packet of crisps. How wrong could I be, I love them, they are brilliant and I haven’t tried all the flavours yet. They are different from other crisps for a number of different reasons: 1. The packaging seems to be quite basic, mostly in white. Unlike other crisps they have avoided moving to foil packs. Not sure if this is a cost thing or environmental but its no big deal. 2. They are crinkle cut which isn’t unusual, the difference is they are much ... more

Advantages Advantages If ready salted are the daddy of crisps, Seabrook are the daddy of ready salted.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Nope, none. They are good.

Right, after losing one beautiful review and one introduction, just by disconnect/reconnect and click submit, I got EXTREMELY annoyed. Very. But I went downstairs grabbed a packet of crisps - getting further agitated by the fact we had no Seabrook left, settling for Waitrose, stuck some music on, cracked my knuckles (isn't that the most annoying thing?) and started once again. Sorry if you are bored, this is a crisps opinion, but I felt I had to get it out of my system. If you have never heard of Seabrook crisps, you should pop down to your local supermarket (or two, if they don't stock it) ... more

Advantages Advantages very. very. very nice flavoured

Disadvantages Disadvantages fattening. but what type of crisps arn't?

Seabrook crisps, you may not of heard of them before. Inside the packet lies the most appetizing, yummiest and tasty-tastic crisps ever (other than kettle chips perhaps, mmm…. Kettle chips.) Seabrook crisps are a true, shining beacon in the otherwise hazardous seas of crisp consumption. Many other brands of crisp say that they are the best brand using ‘fresh picked potatoes’ and ‘sealed in a foil packet!’ well, Seabrook use non of these gimmicks, they specialize on wholesome tasty crisps which should appeal to everyone. The Seabrook packet is white, with a see through section actually allowing ... more

As Lenny slept,Denzel crept in quietly after a night out on the tiles.Smelling of chilli's and mexican armpits. He placed on the table a packet of Seabrooks crisps,Cheese and Onion flavour and smiled at Lenny sleeping and dreaming of Sweaty Betty. Denzel curled up and went to dreamland after he'd had a good lick of his furry balls.
