Advantages Large capacity, easy to install and use
Disadvantages gets quite dusty, click of death is unnerving
My job involves using software which generates some pretty large files. As I need to keep these in case they are needed in the future my computer over the years has become quite full. We have a network drive which is backed up regularly which is where I back-up most of my data and documents but even this is becoming quite full. Disadvantages Not very practical when used with other externals.
This drive survived 13 months of what I can only describe as abuse! The drive was used on a render server to process HD renders that were running 24/7 for over a year, until its recent demise. Hard Drives are frankly not designed to stand up to the tests I put to them but this one did quite well. It's a sleek glossy black design although its shape makes stacking impossible but if you are only in need of one drive that not a big issue. The drive is fast although can get a little warm.
